Trinidad's WBA belt is for sale at £4,000 - yet as well as it being signed, it is his originally owned belt.

 

I swear it was less on the WBC's site. That said, the 'replica' tag probably threw me off.

Is that story literally true? I honestly don't know. I just assumed that when people say 'threw away' they mean 'vacated'.

Apparently you have to defend the IBF title 3 times to get it for keeps. If true, I assume the sanctioning fees from 3 fights cover the price (there's always an ulterior motive with sanctioning bodies). I don't know if it's true but it's what somebody told me when I asked. If that is the case, it appears that JC paid to keep his IBF belt. It could be BS for all I know, though:conf.

PR stunt, I bet he had someone fish it out as soon as the press left, Honeyghan also binned one for the newspapers around the same time for refusing to fight Harold Volbrecht.
