I dont think Berto is the worst fight ever, just disappointing to choose him for floyds last fight more so.
however i believe he will give it all he has got an it will be more entertaining than the pac fight and a lot of others. Berto has zero to loose so may as well come out looking to knock floyds head off. can he do that? probably not.
i dont think gavin is a 'bum' just not a world level fighter, european. also brook took that fight on short notice so i would give both a pass for taking that fight.
Like most people, i dont think berto is the best fight he could of took but hey, its the last fight of floyds fights, most of you will be crying next year when theres no floyd fights left. begging for a floyd pac rematch.

Untrue. Any of the 3 are among the top handful at ww. Berto is not. He's gotten beat up by journeyman, and is now about that level himself. Brook and Thurman are rising stars, Khan has been on a winning run, beating better and bigger names than Berto, and is clearly a more lucrative choice as well, bringing a much larger fanbase.

How is he better than those 2? Algerie has 1 loss and he beat provodnikov. Rios is better than Soto karass who whooped Berto. Berto was once a good fighter but he's a shell of what he used to be.thus is a total mismatch. And why bring up Paquiao opponents? What does he have to do with the discussion?

Berto's best win period is a robbery win over Luis Collazo and that was when he was at his absolute peak. He was never any better than B- level at his best, which he's not at now. He's not a total bum, he at least presents some danger with his hand speed, but on paper he's the worst opponent Floyd has fought since Baldomir. And both Algieri and Rios beat him hands down on resume and H2H.

What's the obsession with rematches. Who wants to see the same guys fight 5 times.

Floyd leaves no doubt the first or second time.

People will start saying:"He went out on a Berto note " after this when someone ends their career on a low note.

Hey, May likes Berto, it's an easy fight...he can just dance to a 49-0.. but if he wants to leave a great legacy, he needs go 50-0 with a win over Tim Bradley ...

no berto isnt the worst fighter, but floyd could have chosen someone who actually has a chance, its different when everyone knows who's going to win the fight. clear cherry pick
