Its not that hard to figure it out, its a 50-50 fight as to who will win. Thats why everyone is interested to watch. Cotto is undefeated(*) and one of the top welters out there, Pac has had an amazing run and is considered the P4P best. Its a toss up, why does it have to be anthing more then that? There are pros and cons for each fighter but NO SINGLE FACTOR that can be the definite reason as to why one will beat the other. All arguments can be convincingly countered for both sides. You know what that means? Its an even match-up. Accept it as this and enjoy the show, instead of setting yourself up for disappointed because you thought you knew exactly how it was going to play out and it does the exact opposite.

That loss is on the books. It should read Cotto has one loss (asterisk) if anything. Not that he is undefeated (asterisk)

He's not undefeated, but his 1 loss is very questionable.

    60-40 Cotto.

I totally agree everyone is OVER ANALYZING this fight. This fight is EVEN! It's a level playing field against two great athletes. One bigger, one smaller, one great the other on the road to greatness. Since PAC has more natrual ability and Talent and Cotto is bigger, stronger and more powerful we can ask for a more compelling fight against two warriors who are looking to solidify their legacies or build on the legacies they already have. I'm leaning towards PAC based on Talent and dynamics but no one can say for sure PAC wins or Cotto wins. The reason this fight is so interesting is b/c anything can happen and no one knows what the outcome will be. Everyone is just speculating. Based on what I know about each fighter I have my own thoughts on the outcome but again....nothing is guaranteed in this sport espceially when both are as good and accomplished as Manny and Miguel.

 I think PAC wins myself but Cotto is going to be very dangerous early! PAC will have to be on point and on his game for the initial 3-5 rounds when Cotto will be extremely dangerous.

I dont think its an even fight....I invision a real hard time for cotto getting a win on the cards if manny throws 700-900 punches and connects on about 30% give or take......he has to win by a KO....and i think the odds of that happening are very slim considering pacquiao hasnt been KO'D in over a decade.....I'm pulling for cotto though....but i see him taking a decision loss

And if youre truly analyzing it, how can you be so definite of the outcome? Theres no way, so you have to be considered biased. If you look at both fighters and objectively analyze them vs one another, you end up with a ? as to what is going to happen. This isnt anywhere near as easy as PBF vs JMM to predict. This is an actual real match-up. Pac has displayed he can fight at welter and is P4P the best right now, Cotto is one of the top welters with a great resume.

There's a big difference between DEFINITE and CONFIDENT. I'm not definite about anything in boxing but I'm very confident regarding certain fights. This one not so much but based on what i've anaylyzed about both fighters I have to lean towards PAC.

using logic on paper to analyze fights often fails.

The best way is to watch as many fights as possible, and then if you understand boxing pretty well the outcome will often come to you naturally.

It's boxing anything can happen, but I picked pacquiao on points for the simple reasons both guys will try to box for different reasons.....and the activity level of manny pacquiao is usually higher then miguel cotto.....based on styles I see a Pacquiao win on points....and the stats show manny hasnt been KO'D in over a decade...the odds of cotto getting a KO win in this fight are very slim....

I'm supporting cotto though, and hope my own pick is wrong...

True. But then you get these fans for both sides that are so sure about who will win based on reasons that have no solid basis for outcome if you throughly look at both sides objectively. Difference between someone saying I "think" Cotto or Pac will win because of this, but still a very close fight to call vs someone saying Pac or Cotto "will" win because of this. This fight isnt one of those fights that you can call like that, its too close in my opinion if you objectively look at both the strengths and weakness of both fighters.
