He's definitely improving in each fight he has. Before the fight I thought Joshua was going to win with ease. KO him by rounds 7-9. Franklin really impressed me. He's got a really good chin and fast hands. Puts some nice combos together. He's not the hardest hitter, but he makes up for that with accumulating punches. I think Joshua has to fight either Fury/Wilder/Bakole next. They are fights that can be made for the summer. Obviously the money fights would be Fury or Wilder, either man would be a huge huge fight.
once you become scared in there! It's over, done! He'll be highlight reel ko'd a couple of times before he finishes up though, I'm sure.
I thought his performance was pretty good. Though he is clearly gun shy and did another strange interview after the fight. It’s like watching a live mental health crisis in the ring. I hope he turns it around.
AJ brought this upon himself with the coronation event vs Wlad. The ring walk and after fight carry on was so ridiculous that evening that he was holding himself up as the fighter of his generation. If he'd been a bit more humble on the way up then people would be kinder on his way down. Saying you're humble doesn't mean you are.
So the champion 'biggest draw in British boxing' needs a tune-up to possibly fight a past-prime Whyte, who has such low punch resistance that even Fury one-punched? And you think boxing fans shouldn't be critical? Actually people are way to easy on this low-life, because they're just utter clowns and drones who will swallow anything the media feeds them.
Disturbing that deluded Joshua thinks Franklin is on par with the mid 80s Tony Tucker that Tyson went 12 with. Btw Joshua, Mike stopped Pinklon Thomas in 87 as he would you on last nights showing.
Franklin was a dumb choice of opponent for both him and Whyte. The guy is a spoiler and is hard to look good against. Both he and Whyte were in desperate need for easy KO wins to get their confidence back. Bad match making from Eddie.
