yeah but your not comparing the same thing. De La Hoya admitted himself that it was his LAST fight, he was inactive... he showed a continuing downward spiral with the mayweather loss, stevie forbes making him look like the elephant man, Hatton has 1 loss to the best fighter in the last 15 years... he's in his prime, he's active... and Hes never lost at 140. Watch the Pac-Oscar fight, oscar looked like he didnt even want to be there, he barely threw anything.. you mean to tell me that hatton is going to show up and do the same thing? NOT A CHANCE

i doubted pac on the dlh fight. i just gave him only a 1 in 3 chance to win and i'm a pac fan. i got too influenced by the so-called "non-ignorant" ppl here. i refuse to be again.

like i said in a previous post, pac is definitely not unbeatable. but i don't think hatton is the man to beat pac. it will probably be either mosley or mayweather who does that.

if you look at that fight delahoya was coming forward and throwing punches, that victory showed us three things, delahoya not in prime, pac can adapt and box, pac did not lose his speed.

throughout the build up roach and pac were constantly telling people its not size that wins this fight but speed, the gameplan was to stay of the ropes and counter oscars left.

im sure pac and roach will come up with a gameplan to beat ricky utilizing his speed.

No, if Hatton looses Hatton looses in prime or slight passed it. Not like Hoya at all. Hatton has shown a weakness to the left hand against Mayweather and Lazcano. If Hatton looses it is because he shows us more of what we've already seen. The reason people say Hoya was shot/weight drained is cuz Roach says it. In Roach's own words, "From the moment he walked into the ring and I could see the IV marks in his arm I knew the fight was ours." Those are his own words, dude.

I think Pac will beat Hatton, but this will not be an easy fight for him, Hatton has decent speed and is the best guy at 140.

It's not that oscar didn't want to punch, it's because when he finally throws his punches pacman was out of his range. So many people wants to put down pacman's big win vs oscar by saying oscar is shot etc.

Remember why delahoya chose to fight pacman instead of fighting margarito:lol: it's because he thought pacman would be an easy opponent that is why delahoya was a 2-1 favorite in the fight.

Everybody from margarito-william-campbell even said delahoya will win by knockout. Many had picked delahoya to win that fight  and when he lost all of a sudden he was shot :rofl:rofl

I think this fight is a lot closer than a lot think, and it's not outrageous to think that Hatton could win.Lets face it Oscar was a sitting target for Manny a dream,a sitting target at that who also didn't fire any punches off, lets face it Manny didn't need to be that good to beat him,he simply just had to be Manny.Hatton contrary to what some think on here has more boxing skills than he's given credit for,and overall i think he can only be better with working with Mayweather Snr.again.He'll not be the straight ahead rushing target that people think,he'll come in at angles and try to utilise his jab which actually isn't bad,and and he is quite nifty on his feet.If somehow he manages to lull Manny into enough close quarter exchanges then i think Manny could be in trouble,no matter how tough a little SOB he is,i don't think any blown up Featherweight is going to weather too many sustained body onslaughts from Hatton. However although i think Hatton will give a good account of himself in this fight i still take Pacman to be too fast, elusive, and accurate for Ricky,he'll land enough quality shots to win by TKO sometime after 8 rounds with Ricky busted up.

People who say Oscar didn't throw punches need to watch the fight again. Oscar was right in line with his career average for punches thrown per round. The difference was, he just couldn't land anything.

That, and he had no legs.

Sadly it's the truth. But more people wouldn't even believe it even if the compubox says it all.
Heck Oscar threw more than Malignaggi and the Dream Match took only 8rounds.
Oscar just couldn't land sh*t, but hey they want to give excuse. So Oscar is shot now.

That's the idiocy of the Pac-haters on this board. They'll make excuse after excuse for the way Pac dominated Oscar, but, at the same time, because of one fight ten years ago, when Pac was very raw and obviously weight-drained, they come to the conclusion that pac is weak to the body. :patsch

Once and for all I am not a Pac hater, I am a fan of his but as a fan of his, I'm being realistic... Hatton is not an easy fight and that is my opinion as you can see by the title of the thread. Pac has done nothing to show anyone that he can dominate a LEGIT prime UNDEFEATED fighter (at his weight class). I am not trying to discredit Pac's performance against Oscar but the truth is Oscar was shot. I told you that before the fight and anyone who saw Oscar the day before the fight knew he didn't look well. Its easy for someone with skill like Manny to look like a destroyer against someone who had nothing on his punches. He may have thrown the same amount of punches that he did like all his career but there was nothing behind them.
