People are very naive if they think Pac is going to walk through Hatton

Pac hasnt tasted any power since 130. And that was against former 122 pounders.

He's gonna be in for a war the likes he's never had before.

oscar did not threw anything not because he suddenly decided not to throw punches. pac forced him not to throw after a few rounds. pac was moving form side to side and was beating oscar to the punch. something that floyd didn't do that allowed oscar to be more active.

so what if pac beats hatton easier than what you expect and make hatton seems like couldn't throw a punch like what happened in Dela Hoya fight? would you give pac credit or will you will be saying the same thing that hatton didn't even want to be there and barely threw anything? what if pac forced hatton to look bad like oscar?

If he beats hatton easier than I expect than I will give him his deserved credit and say he fought a good fight. Like I said before, I am a fan of Pac I just don't think hes proved himself in the higher weight classes yet.

    fair enough.

to contribute to your thread, i am not one of the people who thinks this would be a walk in the park for pac. hatton is undefeated and well settled at the weight. whereas pac is fighting at 140 for the first time. style-wise i like pac's chances but it will definitely depend wether the referee for this fight will allow hatton's brand of in-fighting if pac would have an easy or a hell of a time.

We are all overlooking one big factor here, probably the most decisive factor in this fight - Floyd snr.

All of the comments so far have been based on what Pac has done at lower weights, barring one fight against what might as well of been a wax work model of De la Hoya. We've also commented on what Ricky has done in the past. We have looked at Ricky's flaws (mainly getting tagged on his way in).

There are two questions which need to be asked:

Pacman has never been hit by someone as hard as Ricky can bang, especially to the body, can he take the power?

Secondly, Ricky has never fought anyone as fast as Pac, can Ricky deal with the hand speed and movement of Pac?

Imo, if Hatton catches Pac, it's lights out for the Pac man. I have no doubt that Hetton can take Manny's best shots, but will his face hold up to the volume and speed of Pac's punches? Ricky is known to be a bleeder, if Pacman starts to land at will, Ricky's faces will look like he's been throught the grinder at his local slaughterhouse. This is where Floyd comes in though. Deep down, EVERYONE knows that Hatton's power will be the decider if his face hold up for long enough. I believe that Floyd will have the perfect gameplan to nullify Pac's speed and accuracy, and the only thing left to be decided will be whether Hatton wrestles his way to a decision (which could go either way), or will he land his power shots, if he does it's goodnight for the Pac Man.

If there is one thing that I know about boxing, it 's that you never, never bet against a Mayweather!
