I wonder how many GGG 'fans' actually bought the PPV or did they stream it. they cant blame floyd for that, just themselves. If your a 'fan' of a fighter then you buy his PPV's if your going to argue before how well its going to do or then complain about it after the fight.
From what I see the entire sport of boxing and all boxers took a hit with how poorly entertaining May-Pac was. I'm not blaming one or the other side. They both should have tried to put on a better show. I know I know they were both just trying to win they both already make a lot of money anyways. But that doesn't mean the casuals aren't going to feel bored watching a hug fest. A lot of media outlets like facebook, radio stations, vented out their frustrations about how boring it was and how they're put off to boxing and gonna stick to UFC
Pac is a scammer and should be banned for life going into the fight like that and ripping off millions of fans. He's a greedy, lying *******.
please...pac was fine...throwing flurries with bad intnetnions in the 6th round(after he supposedly reinjured/injured himself)....you should be banned for life if you actually think he was hurt
GGG PPV sales is no surprise. Once again I will say it again. This guy has fought no one. How could he possibly be a big draw and know one knows who he is? As of right now he's more hype than anything, and fight fans are not buying into it, because they know the truth. If they want him to become a house whole name, then he has to start fighting house hold names.
HBO trying to force create a PPV star, so to are the Goodlovin fans, hopefully these ppv #'s will convince many of you to stfu about his economic value
Uhm, what else have they been trying to do? He's been going after Canelo and Cotto for all these years for that exact reason (and because of the belt).
You're misreading it. Hardcore boxing fans are buying into it. Those are the 150k! The ones not buying into it are the broad boxing public, the casual fans. They have never heard of GGG and they won't buy a PPV unless Golovkin manages to create more of a mainstream brand. Which is quite a task considering he's 34, a foreigner and doesn't speak much English.
Yes. You Bumlovstans were all up in here talking about how the Triple Duck was a "star" and the "new face of boxing" - yada yada yada woo woo woo. Now, after the Bumlovkin PPV did a Microsoft Windows by crashing and burning, you can't come in here talking about how you had such low expectations. It's too late for all that...
