He leaves himself open cause everyone just turtles up when they feel his power, he has very little coming back, so he has to try and break them down, mind heavily focussed on attack. This leaves him vulnerable to being potshotted If they werent so scared of him and took the fight to him, we'd see more of his defensive side of his game But he's never had to really do that cause he just puts people into survival mode as soon as they experience it He slips evades parries blocks rolls brilliantly from the little we've seen of that
People don't know sh*t about boxing. When someone invites a punch only to counter with two it is not called "easy to hit".
Lol.seriously he was just letting Murray hit him...he was trying to get Murray out of his high guard..and lol of ppl bringing that loser bum ducker coward Quillin in the mix..lol..the guy is a joke ...his Bit*** ass will never step in the ring with GGG
It seemed that way to me as well, he seemed to have just neglected his defense late on, he didn't respect Murray's power.
A guy like Froch might bring out GGGs defensive skills No ones been able to put him on the defensive though But maybe even a guy as fearless as Froch would fight more like he did in Groves II rather than bullrush him ala Bute maybe :think
People just take it to extremes. His defense is clearly above average, he does a lot of things quite well, like defensive distance management, rolling with punches. He clearly is no Mayweather or anything. But it is quite ridicolous to rate for example James Toney as defensive genius (Toney got clipped quite regular even in his MW days) and say GGG's defense is **** in the next sentence.
