People don't generally believe Ward could beat a prime Calzaghe do they?

Hahahaha, you act like you're done, then you try to take a cheap shot. You're too obvious, and slow in the brain. Try a little harder, you can do it. You've been educated, now sit down like a good boy, and take this beating.

    Judging only by common opponents...

Calzaghe handled Bika with ease. Ward won a razor thin decision that he may or may not have deserved. Years later.

Calzaghe handled an undefeated Kessler, cleanly outboxing him. Ward had to rough him up and cut him while he was coming off an extended layoff due to vision problems. Kessler still managed to take 2 rounds off him (he got 3 against Calzaghe iirc). Again, years later.

Kessler split two close ones with Froch (again, after injuries). Ward Beat Froch. The consensus among literally everyone besides Froch at the time was that Calzaghe would wipe the floor with Froch and get no credit for whipping such a caveman.

    Calzaghe > Ward > Kessler > Froch

Joe would beat a prime Ward right now. Ward much slower, no power to keep Joe off him, nothing.

Calzaghe ducked WARD DAWSON AND PASCAL in order to fight a shot no legs no stamina Roy Jones and Beranrd Ancient Hopkins.

Froch is a better fighter then Calzaghe and Ward had no problems dismantling him.

Joe was simply faster and a better boxer.

This isn't a black or white this , it just is what is , however neither could hold Roys jock strap at 168.

After Calzaghe won Kessler, he had clean the division. And what did he decided to do? Go for money and LHW division.

And what Ward did after cleaning his division?

Joe (5' 11") wasn´t bigger than Ward (6' 0"). He was smaller and he still did and took the challenge and test himself against Hopkins. Ward has two lucrative fight (Kovalev and Stevenson) but he doesn´t feel he can beat them. Instead he wants to fight a MW who hasn´t even unify yet.

These are fair points, and Andre is currently wasting his prime.

But Joe was 36 before he moved up to LHW, and I doubt that Joe would have fought Kovalev.

Do you class Kovalevs biggest win as a faded Calzaghe victim?

    You'd have to wouldn't you.

But it really sounds silly when you use the word victim.

I like how he was simply the better boxer :lol:Based on ? Ward beat Kessler much easier and went on to beat two guys Joe wanted no parts of in Dawson and Froch !

Why do people keep saying Calzaghe is faster than Ward? This is blatantly not true, I know you can say that fanboys are blind, but here it seems to be literal for some people.
