When Wilder won the belt he had 33/34 fights

    This is what finkle said

“Look, (Wilder) is a baby winning the title. It was his first title fight, they'll be a time for unification, they'll be a time for all those things, he could go and Povetkin (the No. 2 contender) in Russia and make $10 million,” Finkel said to the Tuscaloosa News. “It's not the right thing yet. Give him a couple of fights, maybe bring something back to Alabama. Let him develop just like any other athlete. They don't take someone who is a great college prospect and throw him right in. And this kid is a great prospect.”

So laughable when you look at Joshua wining the belt in his 16th fight and unifying the championships under 20 fights

They not only different in drawing power they are different in how much risk they take

Wilder never ducked Klitschko. A day after Wilder won his belt, Klitschko vs Jennings was announced and in the press conference after Wlad beat Jennings, he said that he will fight Fury, and how can Wilder duck Wlad?

Its half true what you are saying but how many times have we seen people wait boxers out until they age. Its not exclusive to Wilder's team and he certainly isnt the last to do that.

When Joshua came along the timing was just perfect, Wlad was coming off a defeat and had been inactive for 18 months, literally coudlnt have asked for better moment to have that breakout fight.

Wladimir always spoke highly of Wilder. Said he was a great fighter (they sparred for at least one camp, maybe more?) and even implied they were on friendly terms if I remember.

Yeah, I really really do not think Wilder ducked Wladimir. He would have, no doubt. But that just wasn't even really a thing.

Wlad didn't duck Wilder, he wanted to fight him in 2016 after Fury.

Wilder won an eliminator against Scuba Scott who had recently lost to Chisora(seriously how the **** was this a #1 eliminator?)Just goes to show how much of a joke and all of the politics in the sport that the #1 fighter in the world at the time didn't challenge for the then vacant belt. The WBC tournament after Vitali stepped back was a complete and utter farce... Wilder obviously wanted nothing to do with Wlad (as anyone with half a brain knows) who by all accounts beat him from pillar to post in camp..

He defends Wilder by proxy because his rivals on the site for the most part are critics and that plays into his anti-Wlad fantasy world that he's crafted for himself over the years.

Clearly Wilder is following Bowe`s career path. He`ll end up skint and collecting cans.

Finkel called him a prospect and green after he won the belt. Absolute disgrace.

Really puts things into perspective with what Joshua has accomplished in half the fights.

Give Wilder a break hed only had 34 fights when the Wlad fight had any chance of happening, way too early in Wilders career. Great champions and all time greats have retired after less fights under their belt than Deontay at that point but 50 Million doe proof of him being brave answers all questions about him ever.

Lets face it, Deontay Wilder is Skrappy doo, hes afraid of nobody, no man, no ghost and no sea monster, or Anthony Joshua, but Shelley Finkel is Scooby Doo a massive chicken and a massive ducker who continiously holds Wilder back by the collar while hes screaming "LEMMI ADDAM LEMMI ADDAM". Dont forget Finkel and the other 26 managers and advisors all tried to talk Deontay out of fighting old man Ortiz.

These are all experienced managers and advisors, they know how to sell a fighter and Wilder should be one of the easiest to sell but look at him, look at his resume, look at his earnings. They know how to promote and they have done an absolute terrible job of it with Wilder. This is no mistake they know what they are doing.
