Who cares if Dawson called him out at 168? The fact is that fight happened at 168 which resulted in a massively drained Dawson, so that win became heavily tainted and is barely even relevent.
Not even close, he made the weight fine and was healthy. So what if Dawson had beaten Ward at 175, we're going to completely discredit that too? Ward is such a small man.... Fact of the matter is: 175 was out of reach for S.O.G and I probably wouldn't give Kovalev much credit for beating a 168 small man in Ward. :yep
Much credit? Good grief man, you're falling out of character if you give him any at all! Between the weight, the ring rust, the time since Ward's last great win....all I want to hear out of you is that Kovalev beat a shot man who was too small, but that Andre did enough to increase his own stock in the meantime by showing us what would've happened if it were a prime version. :good
Ward is completely shot, and at 175 he's more bloated than Dutin Nichols! If he beats Kov it would be a miracle but if Kov wins it's really not a big deal and doesn't do anything for his legacy. He would beat a small, shot, ring rusted 168 man!! :-(
