I think he is ranking the fighters based on what they have actually done rather than what might happen.

yes he's being overrated. People are saying he'd beat Ward and Froch. I don't even think he beats Martinez
And what am I making up and why are you always trying to start drama? I gave the kid a lot of props, but I'm telling it like it is. For me to say he's the second best MW is a good compliment especially when we just had a guy unify yesterday.

    Standard practise on ESB

After a good performance a lot of people get excited & go overboard, after a bad performance the opposite happens & said fighter becomes a hype job/is exposed etc..

Ggg is good. But won't be beating top guys at 168. His best bet is 154 to 160 his body and style will work best there. He'd never beat a froch or ward. But can take match up well with anyone from 154 to 160.

Proska is a great fighter, with plenty of power.

GGG simply outclassed him, forced him to fight a stupid fight & capitalized quickly on the opening he created. The guy is indeed a little slow & stiff, but he seems very intelligent, which makes up for it.

Also, GGG showed better defense & head movement than I personally have seen before (having only studied 4 of his past fights.) That tells me that even at 30 y-o, the guy is still studying and learning. Impressive.

No one can say who he will or won't beat, but it's guaranteed that he'll alway be a threat and never be in a boring fight.

Enjoy him for what he is,great box office and value for money. An entertaining style and the ability to make anyone do the Zabdance.
But he'll struggle to get anywhere near the real elite with that open defence. He's absolutely made for a thinking fighter like Martinez. That doesn't mean we shouldn't appreciate an exciting new(ish) face on the block.I'd stay up late to watch him no problem at all.
And anyone getting carried away with a victory over Poxy Proksa should be taken out back and exterminated.Anyone in Britain who didn't come over in search of decent wages should know he's an absolute toilet of a fighter.

I don't really think we are getting carried away. The way Golo dismantled Proksa is pure class. I rarely see a fighter dominate another very skilled fighter like Proksa.

Based in what my eyes can see and my common sense dictates.I dont think even that Geale is better than Proksa.Seems like the australian is next for Golovkin so he is gonna be destroyed...and the esceptics will see...or maybe they will keep saying that Golovkin is an hypejob and Chávez jr. is best middleweight in the world because he have a title and is famous.

I disagree with basically everything you said but maybe you can elaborate on how Golovkin is technically better than Cotto?

Quillins ****ing woeful, if he would fight GG, and i were team GG id be looking to make that fight fast, Golovkin would flatten him

Martinez is different, it tends to be the case that if Sergio Martinez can hit you, he will do so until he's annihilated you, and i dont see any reason why Martinez wouldnt hit Golovkin often !!!

If these fight (Martinez and Golovkin) i see Martinez's output (which has to leave him soon) and his general ability being a tad too much for Golovkin and he would eventually be over whelmed, thats MO

I have to agree with almost every word of this thread

Proksa was beaten by Kerry Hope FFS, British fans will know what the significance of that is, yes Hope caught him on a bad night and managed to put in his best night to date, but still, it is what it is !!!

Golovkin looks good, but he wont be ripping through the division anytime soon

You know Proksa shoulda won that fight. He did look bad, but no worse than Macklin/Barker vs Ajetovic/Campas/Varon/Belghecham/Spada. And he had a gruesome cut since rd 2.

We all know Mayweather will never fight him so might as well say that GGG demolishes Mayweather at 154
