People here are generally very depreciative of fighters.

    Kessler? He hasn't fought anybody.
Lacy? He was untested. Untested, I say!
    Who did Calzaghe ever beat?
Floyd is ducking every good fighter out there!
    Manfredo? He's a tomato can.
He lost a match? Wow, I can't decide wether he's exposed or shot, but it's gotta be one of 'em.

It wouldn't hurt to scale every single thing you read here up a little. Anyone that holds an abc-title, is ranked within the top ten at a certain weight, or has a record of 28-0 against soft opposition, can box and is a good fighter. We're talking on a world level here, you have to have so many qualities to even make it to that stage.

oh come on you drama queen!!

when people say stuff like that about a guy, its referred to TOP LEVEL BOXING............NOT BOXING IN GENERAL!!!!

now if a prospect who is calling out the world champs or is viewed as a future champ gets knocked out by a journeyman, YES, then he has been exposed.
exposed as a fighter who lacks top level chin!!!

of course he is still a "good fighter"....just not at the highest level.

Ok, consider it all scaled up. If I say somebody has a poor chin, assume I am saying it with this taken in mind.

I agree........evryone is considered a bum, is shot, ducks quality opponents or should retire.

There is always criticism by fans towards every fighter. It can be unfair at times, warranted at times, and also ended if the actual fighter can prove the critics wrong in the ring. The bottom line is you have to lean to deal with it even when fans go over the top - which tends to happen quite a bit.

I think thats an effect to fans and sometimes the media over hyping certain fighters; especially to those over "appreciative" & sometimes delusional fans who go nuts over their favorite fighter or whomever. Some go overboard one way, the others compensate.
Yes its sometimes not fair but thats the way it is.
