For big guys like David Price its normal to gas out at being 6'8'' 275 lbs. Most people on this board have never been in boxing ring and get exhausted like Price yesterday. Price put good show yesterday and we all enjoyed the fight. He showed heart in 5th round when he put Hammer to canvas. Unfortunately he is not built for 12 round fights and thats why he gassed out. Price is not joke.
This is another 6ft 8" Athlete....he runs, tackles, lifts, jumps, pushes, punches, rucks, eye gouges for 80mins. This content is protected And he is 271 lbs
He's 6'8 of just useless weight. Fury at around 6'8 can move around the ring throw more punches and still doesn't gas the way price does.
Fury is of similar height and he weighed 247 vs Wlad. And he looked like he could have easily dropped quite a few pounds. Price did no favours to himself by not watching his own weight. 275 was a clear sign of him not having the proper dedication and mindset to succeed.
Fury showed you can still be fast on your feet and have good stamina at 6'9" with a tub of lard hanging off your midgut. I don't know if Price wasn't watching the scales, or was trying to add some padding so he could take a few more hits, or genuinely felt better at that weight. But he can't be gassing like that after like 3 rounds. I don't know what he's doing in training. He hits hard enough. I guess his jab could use work. But if he plans to continue with this boxing thing, he should probably just forget about doing anything except hitting the asphalt or spinning some pedals.
I can understand a HW after 7-8 rounds getting tired. What I can't accept is a guy after 3 rounds totally exhausted.
275 is just an unacceptable weight to be coming in he didnt even look ripped, toned or conditioned if he would of put effort in, he could of easilly weight 250
Too much toxic fumes of soldering pipes. Not good for the lungs. Price will be back though, Hammer was juicing.
Has nobody been listening to coldwell the past few months? His weight was not lack of training or being out of shape. It was planned. Coldwell said he was too skinny before so they wanted to put weight on him. I guess in the hope he'd hold a shot better, which in fairness he did do.. he just gasses badly. Was it because of the weight? I dont think so he gassed terribly against tony thompson too after 3 rounds..
Ah, yeah. That's right. I vaguely remembered that, but didn't really put it together. He really did take some punches better. Who knows. Maybe he could make something happen if he can get his stamina back on track.
