What has Pacquiao done to earn my respect? He wastes his talant on boxers who are not worthy of being in the same ring as he is?
In 17 fights after beating Barrera he has been in the ring with a grand total of 2 oppoents who belonged in the same ring as him Marquez with whom he is 1-0-1 with and Morales and this is only the first fight with whom he is 0-1 with in such fights. He has a 2-1 overall lead on Morales. However his two wins happened after Morales was on the decline same as his second win over Barera.
Margarito had been recently stopped, Cotto same, Hatton him as well. De La Hoya weight drained. I'm sure your going to point out that De La Hoya was the betting favroite (typical).
So tell me what has Pacquiao done to earn my respect as a boxer?

The only time Pac sounded confused during that interview was when he was asked, "why did that fight fall apart?"

Pac's response was, "ahh, Floyd Mayweather fight?"

Pac knew what the topic of discussion was, yet he knew he was trapped and was now on the spot to answer tough question.

And you got that from your in-depth research of the culture that Pacquiao has been immersed with his entire life or at least the English proficiency of people like him who grew on the streets of the rural areas of his country?

So you're basically saying you don't respect Pacquiao because in your eyes,he doesn't have enough quality fights or opponents who were in their utmost primes when he fought them.

OK then... tell us who you respect as a boxer and show us their resumes and point out that each of those opponents recent performances and if they were in their primes or not. Then tell us why it's better than Pac's resume.

You also say Pac had 2 oppnents that were worthy of being in the same ring with him the last 17 fights. Other than Morales and Marquez, who else should he have fought that were worthy? Replace each of "wasted" fights with a credible opponent that have not had recent losses.

 

If dude was American he'd have his own TV station by now. Say what u want about him and who he fights or some rumor we read on obscure websites the overwhelming facts remain that this guy came from less then a ghetto. Had to cheat the scale just to fight when he was a kid, had to lie about his age. Not to mention he's like watching a ****ing fire ball in the ring. No body, and I mean no body even comes close to touching this guy when it comes to entertainment. It's all action, all 100% of the time. There simply is no better fighting style to watch.

 

That's one thing I really like about Pacquiao. Whenever he fights, whoever he fights, you know there will be something to watch. He'll make one even if his opponent is boring as ****. The man is true to his words, he fight to entertain.

 

funny as you are a raging floyd fan and you tag this on to pac and give floyd a pass, tell me something new. floyd is leaps and bounds more talented than pac is. this is coming from a pac fan. floyd has been boxing the fundamental way since he was a child. he has been blessed with great athleticism and talent. people on here have clamored for a boxer gifted by this much, to have showcased his talent against the best opposition. yet what path did floyd take? he took on the biggest paying fights, not the biggest challenges available. he took a break then a vacation and has the audacity to say he only fights once a year. his talent could have beaten the likes of prime margarito, younger shane, cotto, or williams. yet did he prove that to us? talk about waste of talent.

pac, who was crude when he was starting out, did not have even half the luxury that floyd had. he worked his way up. years ago he was expected to lose to dela hoya, hatton, and cotto. what skill are you talking about? pac has been living off of his determination, speed, power, aggression, and athleticism for quite a while in the lighter weights. a one handed fighter should not have even stood a chance against some of the most technical fighters in jmm and barrera. yet pac took the fights and fought it out. stylewise, his improvement did not come overnight, it is a work in progress.

you are blinded rip if you question pac for not taking on challenges and not question floyd.
