Does he have anything to prove moving down? Lots of big fights, but is he where he needs to be? Plus, isn't it always easier to move up than move down? In other words, should he just wait till they inevitably move up as age fills them out?
There is more of a chance Tank being able to beat Taylor than there is of Tank actually fighting Taylor. I will be shocked if Tank, in his next fight, fights anyone in the top 5. That being at 130, 135 or 140.
Nobody thinks that, do they? Maybe if there had been some worrying signs in Taylor's punch resistance, but there haven't been. I've never seen him shaken by anything you wouldn't expect to hurt any 140lber. (like maybe a little by Prograis late, but... zero shame in that) With this big a skill disparity you can only say Gervonta has a puncher's chance and not even that much of one with Taylor being as sturdy as he is.
I don't even want to talk about it tbh.no chance tank gets put in with TTT it's pure fantasy.he's avoided every serious threat in every division he's fought in and it ain't going to change.
Mentioning POS cherry-picking coward Tank Davis’ name in the same sentence as Josh Taylor’s is an insult to the sport. On one side you have a disciplined unified champion with real belts, Taylor, who will literally fight anyone in his weight class. On the other side you have a complete POS mush-mouth trash talking paper belt owning scumbag who will do anything to avoid a real challenger and who hasn’t faced a real challenger in years. He managed to avoid most of the top names at 130 and ALL of the top boxers at 135 before moving to 140 and beating a bum. He hasn’t earned the right to be even mentioned in the same sentence as Taylor. Taylor is a true champ versus Tank, who owns pretend paper belts. Tank has no interest in fighting Taylor, Prograis, Ramirez or any top ranked JWW’s. He will do what he did at 135, clout chase the top names but fight a bum or smaller guy moving up. His half whit fans like many who pollute these threads will celebrate his victories over no hopers and make excuses for him. If Tank ever fights a top ranked JWW or God forbid Taylor, you will understand why Floyd has kept him away from top opposition. He will get his ass thoroughly kicked and be exposed for the hype job fraud he is. It’s laughable but as long as chumps buy the crap Tanks team is dishing out, I don’t expect it to change.
"They" covers a lot of ground. I just don't see Taylor as all that great...yet. Everybody around here seems to think he's a potential ATG so I try to keep an open mind, but it wouldn't surprise me a bit to see Tank knock him right the **** out. So I'm racist based on that?
Taylor beats tank and Crawford beats Taylor. Crawford is the most special fighter in this discussion.
Thanks,, all these comments of how Taylor would destroy Tank because he's sooo great are premature speculations. Taylor looked good his last fight but it was a competitive fight. It seems all you have to do today is have a good fight and some people immediately attach the ,, he's an all time great label,,to his name. It ain't been that long ago on these forums that Anthony Joshua was so good that Ali wouldn't stand a chance.
Lol Barrios has gone as high as he’s going to go. If Barrios was any good, he would have been on everyone’s radar a long time ago. As it is, he was surprised he even got called up.
