This thread is just a “look over there” argument.

And who has Morrell fought again remind me?
I didn't know Morrell was a pay per view attraction.
Remind me how many pay per views Morrell has actually headlined.
Why doesn't Morrell call our Canelo? Because the first thing Canelo and his people would say is Morrell hasn't fought anyone and Morrell isn't a draw.
David has done enough to earn a shot at boxings top draw and Morrell has managed to have TEN fights in almost SIX years which is insane to be that inactive.
Worse I don't see ANY names that Morrell has beaten.

I was responding to your part where you said that DB earned his shot at Canelo by beating Plant and Andrade.

While that is true, I also went on to explain what a possible outcome may be.

I agree Morrel at this point is a prospect/contender. My point was more directed as to when we will know whether or not Canelo has intentions in fighting DB and how it make develop.

I get what you're saying, but Canelo literally can pick and choose who he wants to fight. DB can't. The other question is, who is more deserving of the fight they want. Morrell or DB? I say DB. Being a fan of boxing, I want to see both.

No you were not. You even described his opponents as a "CANELO LEFTOVER" and a "154lber" and then said WOW. The same 154lb opponent that nobody wanted to fight Benavidez took him on and not only won he savaged him.
Canelo is not ever going to fight Benavidez because he and his team knows what will happen.
The only way that fight takes place is if Canelo is backed into a corner and basically has no choice.
Until then Canelo will stay far away from Benavidez.
Right now as is Canelo vs Benavidez is s pretty good fight and would easily do pay per views even among casual boxing fans. Its the biggest money bout easily at Super Middle and would require little promotion to sell to the public as almost everyone wants to see it.

God, the therm "shot" is so overused.

Anyhow, anyway you twist or turn it Benavidez has the best wins of any contender.. If Canelo vacates rather than face him it's a clear duck.

And if Canelo fights him in 2025 even after vacating or being stripped it voids the "duck". Facts

    Not it doesn't

You can actually duck for a period of time you know

    Canelo did it with GGG

Canelo didn't fight Golovkin for 1.5 years, that isn't even a big deal. Why didn't Golovkin accept the Ward fight?

Also, Canelo is older than Benavidez, so the longer this fight takes to make the better for Benavidez.

    A duck is a duck

GGG and Ward? Because he ducked it

What's that got to do with it?

    A duck is a duck if it's a duck.

If Canelo doesn't fulfill his mandatory against Benavidez it's a duck, but if he does fight him, even if it's in 2025 then it isn't a duck. Very simple.

No, if he does a Fury and has to be shamed into taking it, its's still a duck in my book.

No it doesn't at all !! Its right NOW!! Canelo should be fighting Benevidiz. NOW !! not doing a Floyd impersonation. How long is Benividiz supposed to wait for his shot he deserved years ago? These blatant protection of the cash cows antics are pathetic. Canelo ducked a rematch with Bivol & wont defend against Benevidiz he's just another fraud like Floyd
