People say that Hatton's style didn't have longevity so why does Froch's?

Another valid reason as to why his style is better suited for longetivity

There are a myriad of factors but I believe the main one is that Froch pretty rarely takes full blooded shots and he doesn't fight at an intensity that means he takes a volume of punches each fight. If you actually assess how Froch fights he's not that hard to clip but to land a big punch, the type that Hatton regularly walks into because of his lack of head movement/aggressive style, its not that easy because he fights at range, has power to keep guys off him and because of range he has a long time to adjust to what comes his way.

The times he's been nailed are quite memorable. Taylor right hand, Dirrell left-hook, Kessler did most of his good work to the body, Abraham did nothing of note, Pascal fight he took a few, Ward only cuffed him really and he's not a puncher.

froch has only been 'nailed' a handfull of times in all his fights,at world level, euro level and british level.thats ****ing superb .

froch is very canny,he rides punches, always has,he is extreamly good at it,better than most fighters in the world.

the comparison is shocking between hatton and froch, and i admire and love them both as fighters

When did Froch ever fight someone comparable to Manny Pacquiao?

But more importantly, Froch has lived the life of a serious boxer

Hatton blew up to 200+ pounds in between fights

Possibly, but they're nothing alike - Ward is more comparable to Mayweather than Pacquiao

Fair enough, though I still think Froch is the better fighter anyway. Getting knocked like that by Pacquiao ruined Ricky

The biggest shot I've seen Froch take was against Robin Reid I think.

An absolutely huge right hand, bang on the chen.
