Why can't people understand that Las Vegas is the biggest boxing city (moneywise) in the United States, if not world.

And as for Mayweather, just over half of his 47 fights have been in Las Vegas (24 in LV / 23 elsewhere).

Grand Rapids, Michigan would be Floyd's home turf, Vegas is pretty neutral if you ask me, Oscar De La Hoya lost plenty of times in Vegas, that was his spot to last time I checked

Completely false. Many commissions, including California, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Texas, and international commissions such as Australia allow boxers to use Lidocaine.

These commissions "MAY" ask for medical clearance for the Lidocaine, but the commissions do allow it without consent.

The judge on his domestic case essentially postponed his sentence because of the economic impact he has on the city:

Wright said Mayweather wasn't trying to avoid the sentence, and emphasized the potential economic benefit of attracting fight fans and hotel guests to Las Vegas for a Mayweather fight. The lawyer estimated that Mayweather's last seven fights in Las Vegas generated a combined $1 billion in business to the community. He projected the economic boost from a May 5 fight at more than $100 million.

"This is simply a delay because of prior commitments and contracts," Wright said.

"Mr. Mayweather has an obligation to this court," the judge responded. But "given the fact that Mr. Mayweather has these obligations, I am going to grant your request."

C'mon, that's not home field advantage? Where you can essentially usurp the law because you bring in revenue to the city that you call home?

What about Vegas prevents a fighter from getting in the ring and beating Floyd? I know you are not about to tell me that Floyd is the beneficiary of corrupt paid off judges.....in 47 fights I have not seen Floyd ever receive a Gift Decision, can you say that about your favorite fighters past and present?

With that said I have seen Manny Pacquiao win some decisions he dont deserve.....ahem Marquez...if anyone needs to pay off the judges its Pacquiao not Floyd.

Many athletes in all sports get the priviledge of having their sentences held until the off-season or they are not playing. Numerous NFL players, MLB players, NBA players, NHL players, etc.

So, why just place the blame and/or label on Floyd...???

This thread all depends if Manny is allowed to do the following:

    - Inject his hands with Lidocaine.
    - Choose the oppositions gloves (outside of the contract).
    - Ban the boxer from using certain gloves because of "his opinion" over certified professionals.
    - Come in to the fight over weight and pay the fee (wont be judged for it).
    - Pick the referee for the fight.
    - Have the ref in his pocket to stop any inside fighting.
    - Have MVC!, markq, Code Red, bballchump11, Pimp C, mekus on the scorecards.

    Oh wait, wrong dude...

When did I say anything about 'paid off judges and corrupt officials'? You asked how Vegas could be considered Floyd's 'Home Turf' and i merely pointed out that the city neutered it's own legal system to cater to him. Sure it was in their best interest from a financial POV but it was also in Floyd's best interest as well. Legal preferential treatment speaks strongly to Vegas being May's home turf.

I fail to see how Pac is relevant to this thread and I didn't bring him up, you did. Just because someone says something 'anti-Floyd' doesn't make them a...ahem...*******.

constantly saying Vegas is his home turf suggests to me that you think he gets some special privilege come fight night....yeah some fighters do get the benefit of the doubt on the cards cause its their home turf or cause they are the Showtime/HBO fighter....Once the bell rings Floyd has shown that he does not need any special assistance from the judges or referee. In all circumstance he has won legit, Tony Weeks, or Bayless it doesn't matter. Fighters dont lose to Floyd because its Vegas, they lose to him cause he's the better fighter!!

If that was the point you wanted to make you should have titled the thread something like:
Mayweather doesn't need judges / refs to win fights

Failing that you should have put it in the body of your first post. Instead you started talking about how Vegas is neutral territory and the American Southwest is...basically Mexico?

Pac cheated by wearing unapproved gloves against Torrecampo.
Pac came in overweight in a catchwegith title fight. Torrecampo still KTFO his ass.
Had you, boxing_master, holy fail, dodong, progayer, knives7, tennis, shoe, hityounot, boyschoir, ladyboi, tjmaxx, .... all under the table sucking the judges cawk. Pac wanted to pay them off, but you guys wanted the judges man juice instead.

You have the gall to bring up coming over the weight limit and gloves? Your idol was guilty of all these things and he was the perpetrator.
