I have to disagree that he's a brawler but I will agree that he can and does sometimes go into brawling mode. Funnily enough he tends to be very successful when he does brawl. He just hasn't fought anyone who could really handle his power.

 

Horn isn’t even that big at WW, look at him against Corcoran. He is also slightly fleshy compared to other top guys. He fought at 140 at the Olympics.

 

I think Crawford is a boxer who chooses to brawl, bit like hearns n Forrest v mayorga.
In this fight he'll box I recon.

Please... Jeff Horn comes into the ring around Middleweight/Super Middleweight. If he can bully and toss around a 6'1 Ali Funeka, Randall Bailey, Junior Middleweight Gary Corocan like they were nothing, a Lightweight Terrence Crawford doesn't stand a damn chance of brawling with Jeff Horn. Whether he likes it or not, Crawford is going to have to get on his bike in this fight for 12 rounds and dig real deep trying to counter and put on a masterclass with his skills. If he's dumb enough to think he can brawl Jeff Horn for 12 rounds, he will have fallen into Team Horn's trap, and Horn will stop him.

 

He'll try to turn it into a wrestling match.But I doubt he can.Crawford hits like a mack truck.It will instantly discourage Horn using his Horn in this fight.I actually see a big time one punch knock out early administered by Crawford. Just because of that Horn getting overly aggressive.But don't think it's a good idea for Horn to brawl. He has to be careful and pick his spots to rough house Crawford around. Because if he just bores in he is going to sleep.

 

He might be able to make it rough and tough, but I still think Crawford's pin point accuracy and quick combinations will be too much for Horn to endure. I see Crawford having to dig deep but he'll adapt early and probably win a 8-4 type UD, if Horn is more durable than I think he is.

I don't believe Horn is that much bigger than Crawford. Crawford walks around 175 and cuts to 147.

 

Lol, no chance. People seem to forget Jeff Horn was a very successful amateur boxer as well before turning pro. Lost in a close match to Everton Lopes at the 2011 Amateur world championships, the eventual gold medal winner. Lost in another close match at the 2012 Olympics to Denys Berinchyk in the quarterfinals, the eventual silver medalist and also the silver medalist at the 2011 world championships. He was amongst the best amateurs in the world in his division before turning pro. You don't get there by simply being a wrestler, physical or dirty, Horn has very good boxing skills, by Terrence Crawfords own admission, people simply don't see it because his style is organized and pressurized chaos, deliberately. Also, Horn is a genuine Middleweight. The only time he even remotely resembles Welterweight is the 36 hours around fight time when he sheds 4-5kgs and packs its straight back on after weight in. He trains and fights above the Middleweight limit. Tough fight for Crawford. The biggest guy he's ever fought and best pressure fighter he's ever fought in the same fight. First 5-6 rounds will be competitive, then it will either go the way of UD for Crawford or late stoppage for Horn. All depends whether Horn can handle Crawfords slickness or Crawford can handle Horns pressure and size. Either way, its going to be a lot closer than most people think.

 

What your saying is counterintuitive to a boxer who's style would actually beat jeff horn. Youre saying lil bud will win because he doesnt fight like Mayweather, hes a brawler..

Your comment is so confusing to me, because it feels like you are saying lil bud will out brawl horn? The entire boxing world is saying if Crawford wins itll be because of his ability to slip horns punches and accurately counter punch and pick him apart, not because crawford will slug it out, over power and drop horn.

Brawling is horns fight, and id bet my bottom dollar, if crawford wants to slug it out with horn he will lose.

We have seen time and time again what happens with fighters that try to out fight their opponents at their own game. Canelo tried to match floyds style instead of brawling and got picked apart.

You better hope lil bud does decide to fight like floyd, it's the only way he stands a chance.

Yep, American promotion, American referee, in America, against one of Top Ranks marque fighters. It's almost identical to the Pacquiao fight, except that wasnt in America, but had 3 judges from the Americas. Jeff Horn pulling his weight around lol.
