People seem to forget about headbutts

I didn't forget. Weak minded move by Ortiz. I'm never watching any of his fights again.

Headbutt about as bad as Floyd's cheapshot.

The difference here is, nobody is defending Ortiz's headbutt.

 

This is why I don't understand the outrage. Mayweather was blatantly fouled and his mouth was all busted up. The ref continued the fight. Why should Mayweater have waited for Ortiz to be ready after Ortiz did him dirty like that? And the people blasting Mayweather know damn well they wouldn't be critcizing Ortiz had the situation been reversed.

 

In what world is an intentional headbutt equivlant to a legal punch to the face in boxing?

 

Also, Ortiz stuck his head under Floyd's chin and pressed against it TWICE in other sequences before the one that ended with his intentional headbutt. Haven't seen anyone pointing that out yet.

 

It could have been a dq it was thrown with bad intentions.

What about Floyds elbows in that last round? atleast six and one of them he hit Ortiz in the face a split second prior to the but, in other words Ortiz fought fire with fire if you ask me...

And Floyd knew that, which is why he found his way out with a cheap shot, he didnt want to be in there with a kid who was going to fight fire with fire...

And ima be real, I beleive that Mayweather didnt care if those shots were legal or not, I beleive he did that cus he was ****ing pissed off, and was willing to live with what ever out come he was handed.....

Yep. And nobody is saying the KO was illegitimate either. What we have here basically is a whole slew of people talking to no one in particular, preaching from the pulpit, who won't shut the **** up. ******ism is at epic proportions. All it takes is the right event to bring that fact to the surface.

Indeed. Ortiz addressed that at the press conference. He said that was his way of sending the message back that Floyd's elbows and forearm shivers weren't welcome.

 

So then why the **** are you saying it can kill someone?
