RJJ Shame Mosley Holyfield all these guys get Hugh respect and you hear talk about RJJ being unbeatable in his prime. Just one thing he was a cheater who used steroids it seems to me certain fighters use of steroids is never brought up. How do we know how good RJJ was really or Shane Mosley he was caught yet somehow everyone still respects him. Holyfield also it seems to me certain fighters use of steroids is never held against them when it clearly should be.

And as well they should get huge respect, as they were great fighters.

There is no way to prove that **** made these guys great, even if they did do it. A tempest in a teapot, this obsession some boxing fans have with PEDS. I couldn't care less. These unproven allegations mean nothing about fighters' greatness.

You couldn't care less that they cheated and had an unfair advantage?

Everybody tries to get an advantage in any sport - always had, and always will. And, unless you can conclusively PROVE that any of these things occurred, and that they absolutely did give someone an advantage, it is all just speculation anyway.

Knowledgeable boxing fans discount these allegations as just that, unproven speculation, when assessing fighters' greatness.

Roy Jones must be the absolute prime example of a boxer who would benefit from steroids.

He relied enormously on his superior physical attributes - reflexes, speed, power. When those diminished he became a terrible boxer. At his prime he was as untouchable as Lance Armstrong.

No no, he couldn't care less because they had the right nationality, if a russian or east european top boxer gets caught I promise you he and a lot others suddenly will care A WHOLE LOT...

Zakman I love reading your posts about glass chins and most often agree with you, and admire you dare say it, but here I disagree wholeheartedly, a cheater is a cheater in my eyes no matter how great performance he puts on.

Use all the roids you want in advanced 2014 & you will not be near any good as Roy Jones was a quarter century ago, when most the PEDs were still primitive

Watch 1988 Olympics...The Koreans will not allow him to get away with anything

    Weak...Very Weak

Roy Jones Jr unfair advantage is in his DNA

Are your favorite fighters clean? Who are they?

    What's your opinion on TRT?

If they didn't give a huge advantage then why would a fighter take them and risk being caught? That's what you need to ask yourself.

When was Roy caught using roids......

He was using Androstendione, which was ultimately banned b/c it stimulates one's own body to better regulate free testosterone.

He was never caught using steroids that I know of. And Andro, up until 2000 was regularly available at ANY GNC or healthfood store..

MOF.....Mark McGwire, was a spokesman for their product. Before it was considered a PED. Of course, Mac was later caught being involved in Balco and was said to have been using "REAL" roids for yrs.....

The case of RJJ is simply not nearly the same.:huh

once its in your body the 2 precursors bond to become a form of test or 19 nor derivative.

    dianobol used to be legal..
go back far enuff and coke and opium was legal..

Your right all of these juicers were on A-side meth at one stage!

They should have all of their "records" quashed and turned into NC. They should never be enrolled into HOF.

If we let them in might as well let in Margarito too...:bbb
