Sure Bellew is entertaining with his ranting in the press conference but come on guys.

Braehmer in my opinion was favourite going into the Clev fight. yea hes a ***** for ducking like that but Clev was in a really really tough fight!

Bellew could give clev hell, but lets be realistic. not on 3 days notice! clev is heavy heavy favourite to win this one. whereas against Braehmer he was underdog!

So why are people preferring the Bellew fight over the Braehmer fight!?
Clev vs Braehmer would have been really close and in many ways a 50/50 fight. whereas anything other than a Bellew fight will be a major shock!

Im not complaining mind you. I cant wait for this fight now :happy. Props to Bellew for agreeing and props to Warren for making it happen.

    Bring it on

It's just a more entertaining to me because it's another all-British, unbeaten prospects matchup.

Braehmer would probably have been a harder fight, but he wasn't a 'world champion'.

Only becos Bellew has previously said he would take Cleverley and its another British grudge match...but it isnt even a match.

So if Bellew wins is he the World Champ? is it still a World title fight, if it is Bellew doesnt deserve a shot a a world title and makes even more a joke of the situation.

in terms of build and and hype im sure the Bellew fight has more.
but in terms of when the bell rings having a competitive boxing match, Braehmer vs Clev any day

Boxing isn't about titles. At the base level boxing is about the excitement and anticipation surrounding two fighters squaring off against each other. This excitement is heightened if we know the fighters have personal attachments to them there is a back story.

Braehmer brought little value to the fight apart from his belt.

    disagree.
for me boxing is about the action inside the ring.
and inside the ring, braehmer vs cleverly is better than bellew at 3 days notice vs cleverly

Well obviously the action inside the ring has a lot to do with it. But its 50/50

People want to see people that they know that they can guage to see hoe they fare in a certain fight how the y deal with xyz etc.

would have prefered the german as it would be a 50-50. Clev vs Bellew would of happend later in the year and been a better fight with more build up.

There is more to a fight just being 50-50 though thats my point. I mean according to posters on here and respected trainers in boxing monthly. the Groves Degale fight is a 90-10 fight.

I think that deep down in boxing there is still that schoolyard thing that goes on of I wonder if x and y fight.

Braehmer was a 50-50, no doubt, and he appears a much better fighter than Tony.

But in terms of power, which is what Clev was stepping up against, Braehmers was massively overrated. He was also average enough to lose to Mario Veit, which says it all about his ability (although admittedly I've never seen the fight, so apologies if I'm way off base with that assumption)

Bellew is a quality replacement. He also has a fair dig on him, and will be dangerous as long as he's standing. Braehmer is so lethargic as well from what I've seen, as least Bellew will try hard whilst he's in there.

Clev can still work his way up the rankings. He'll never be a true champ til he gets in with the likes of B-Hop and Pascal, and he's way off that level, so this is not a bad fight for him, especially considering the circumstances.

    thats my point exactly.

bellew vs clev would be better with all the build up over weeks.
but on 3 days notice all we get is one press conference and a shitty fight

I don't really care about Braehmer.

We all know Clev's title doesn't mean **** right now.. even he knows it.

Clev/Bellew is a fight was definitely one in the melting pot. It would definitely persuade me to buy the card, but I'm still not buying it.

yes but all those people see Groves as a live underdog. nobody is giving you 3-1 on Groves to win are they?

I think Cleverly vs Bellew is a quality fight, it just would have been better in 6 months time with Tony not being at such a disadvantage.

Do you think Cleverly will ever get to that level. I am talking Pascal, Froch, Cunningham sort of level. Not upper tier P4P but in the debate for the top 10?? Simple terms could be unify and be a lineal champ at some point in your opinion?
