its plain obvious that the wbo deliberately poached these 2 ATGs when they were at the end of their careers/should have been retired, to fight again for their titles. there was little sense. the Leonard Lalonde fight was a farce, impossibly straddling 2 weight divisions just to lure Leonard in. Equally the Ray Hitman fight was therefore a farce in terms of legitimacy, though both fighters were ATGs. Now, EUbank, Benn and Collins certainly weren't bogus, but they aren't ATGs. There was clearly some Brit**** circular passing of a crown in a small goldfish bowl going on (obv Collins is irish) which makes this comment extremely self referential -
why is telling you not to pretend you know things that you don't, suddenly a problem for you? You don't like being told you are wrong and acted like achild hitting back with absolutely no point at all. YES WE DO. He was fighting. Therefore the injuries were not so bad as to stop him fighting. WE CAN SAY THAT BECAUSE IT HAPPENED. Kessler-calzaghe in Denmark DID NOT HAPPEN. DIFFERENCE, yes? no, I give him credit for many things, but you choose not to read them. ironic final comment seeing as its you who threw your toys out your pram in this very post - - but np, run away if you must.
Very disputed losses, and he was coming off 2 of his best wins. Had one of his best wins immediately afterward. He was p4p #3 or #4 at the time. From his loss to Jones in 1993 to his loss to Dawson 19 years later, Hopkins only lost clearly to Calzaghe (and some folks even debate that one). The losses to Taylor were robberies at worst and disputed/either way decisions at best. That argument has been tried before and will never hold water, because Hopkins didn't even become recognized as a great fighter til his late 30's: HOPKINS ERA OF GREATNESS: Middleweight Unification/Trinidad (36), De la Hoya (39), Taylor-Disputedx2 (40), Tarver (41), Wright (42), Calzaghe-Disputed (43), Pavlik (43), Pascal (45/46). HOPKINS ERA OF MEDIOCRITY: Dawson (47), Kovalev (49) One could EASILY make a case that Hopkins' true prime was from 36-46, since that's where his greatest accomplishments occurred.
I don't feed trolls and that's obviously what your are. You start a response with shut up and then expect a civil response. You don't see me dismissing the likes of Loudon as an idiot because he isn't running an embarrassing hate campaign.
yes you run from me now you've been exposed as a liar. go,go, pretend you've been insulted so you can run and avoid admitting the error of your previous post.
Liar? I've not told any lies. I've just stated my opinion. Yet again you pretend to have scored some sort of victory without having really said anything of substance. Now you claim I'm running away. This is the internet. Nobody runs away from anyone. Funny thing is I have /had no emotional investment in Calzaghe's career and it wouldn't have bothered me if he ended up with loads of losses. I just think you're wrong and that's annoying. Now go back to calling a world champion boxer universally respected by his peers a coward or whatever it is you troll types do.
so either you are right, yes? lets see, let you claim not feed trolls, and yet you have returned to feed what you call a troll. That makes no sense. Or you are wrong, and you are now trying to flee from being wrong by claiming I am a troll. which makes sense. hmmm. and then you invent some fictitious claim that I am calling joe calzaghe a coward. I think its now obvious who is doing the lying here.
Sure the international boxing community have all somehow been hoodwinked. You've repeatedly referred to him as Cowardzaghe. Are you going to lie about that too? You are the liar here. One thing we can agree on is you've had far too much of my attention. As previously pointed out I don't have a problem with people not being Calzaghe fans I just hate the agenda driven BS you spout so claiming I'm fleeing an actual discussion with you is ridiculous.
