Haha When you mentioned Harada the first thing i thought of was that lame guy who ruined the Tekken Franchise after game 6 along with taking all the credit for everything related to it, sad.
No don't tell me your part of that sad Fandom Flo? He even ruined the OST of all the games going forward at least we have the classics.
No not at all. I’m not much of a Tekken fan in all honesty but I did remember this video and thought it was humorous.
I think its a recency bias thing. People were saying the same thing about Wilder for a period of time. Now that he's been exposed for being woefully limited nobody has him an ATG. A solid contender with an A+ straight right hand...that's all. But it wasnt long ago people pretended Wilder could challenge an HW in history
Putting the recency bias to the side it's just a odd comparison especially at this point in his Career but being that Inoue is Asian is most likely the reason for it being mentioned, Inoue has plenty of time left in his Career to do great things but Pacquiao is just not the suitable arrow to point at from him becoming a multiple lineal champion, having won multiple titles in higher divisions, HOF fighters faced, Weight class competing, FOD/FOY titles, Champions defeated, etc
It's not so much the eight weight classes as it the names. Pacquiao mixed it with many great fighters. Inoue's greatness is likely going to be based on his dominance.
Inoue skipped the division with great fighters and it was not just a co incidence. He is building his reputation on beating weak champions in weak divisions, and letting the hype do the rest. Comparing him to Manny is laughable. Inoue's resume is mediocre.
Eh at the higher weights Manny had phenomenal matchmaking. Roach had a keen eye for getting fighters at the right time. Whether it be DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Shane, or Margs...they were all DOA on fight night for various reasons. Still, Manny had to win the fights and he left no doubt. Inoue attempting to become 2nd male in 4 belt era to be undisputed in 2 weight classes is cool af and impressive especially since he'll be a 4 weight champ...yeah, I can see the Pacman trajectory comparisons. Inoue dont have the frame though...he caps at 126 imho. He could be a 5 weight champ and 3x undisputed though...
Barrera and Marquez are really the only guys Pacquiao beat who I would think would qualify as great at the time he faced them and he also lost to Marquez.
An Inoue right or left hand is 85% more powerful than the innocuous right hand love tap Grandpa Glengoffe sparked Roid out cold with before he even hit the canvas.
