That would be a bit of a stretch considering Castillo failed a couple of times to even make 135 for a weigh in whereas Hatton comfortably can make 140.

He even failed to make 140 in his last "fight". I wonder if the guy EVER made 135 without cheating.

Some Hatton huggers claim that Hatton was past it when he fought PBF, so how you can call Castillo's form???

Not when Hatton fought him obviously, as he couldn't make it without the side effect of death.

Not sure what your point is anyway, when people say 147 isn't Hatton's weight they don't just mean that he is better at 140. The point is that he loses more relatively in moving from 140 to 147 than, say, Mayweather did.

I don't see how anyone could say JLC was at his best at 130 in good faith. Who did he beat at that weight? At 135 he beat Stevie, drew with Stevie, beat Cesar Bazan, Julio Diaz, Joel etc, gave Floyd two tough fights. Heck he even did more at 140 where he beat Rolando Reyes and Diego.

Hatton weighed more than Mayweather on fight night, he weighs 155 on fight night, if he can't compete while outweighing someone he simply isnt good enough, end of

If anyone was arguing that Hatton was better than Mayweather then you'd have a killer counter argument. Maybe if you wait around someone will come along and do so....

He didn't weigh 155 against Mayweather. He was way beneath the 147-limit at the weigh-in. But of course, you're right. If he doesn't outweight PBF by 5-10 pounds he doesn't stand a chance against him.

Kerry Kayes said they were aiming for 155 on fight night, against Tyszu Kayes said he was 155 on fight night, they always put allot of weight on after the weigh in

Gatti couldn't make 140 anymore does that mean that he was a legit welter. Some guys grow out of weights like when they are young like DLH growing out of lightweight and 140 etc. In the case of guys like Castillo his body was just past it's prime completly. He wasn't any bigger, his body just couldn't handle the stress of making that weight anymore.

Anyone who thinks that the Castillo that hatton beat is even 50% of the Castillo that Floyd beat is delusional.

Really? Hindsight is a wonderful tool isnt it? I wonder if PBF DLH Cotto Shane or Zab had those same thoughts in there mind? Oh wait for it? There arms are longer and there taller. Well done Scurla you stopped yourself then.

its common knowledge castillo HAD to go to 140 because the only way he'd make 135 was by taking a limb off, hatton CHOSE to go to 147
