Why is that bad, PPV was a disgrace? They totally took the Michael for most of the fights they asked us money for. Most of the fights we were being charged for by Sky on PPV were a total joke.

How? Haye is more of a professional wrestler than a prize fighter. Haye does his fighting behind a microphone not inside the ring.

I am tired people recently acting like Haye did awesome against Klitschko, because Adamek was beaten down. So they are making a comparison. Adamek tried to win and showed up to fight against Vitali. Haye showed up for a pay day, tried to survive first and foremost and hoped maybe to land one knock out punch. Haye fought like Kevin Johnson did against Vitali, but Haye has some punching power. That is a more fair comparison.

frank w-a-r-r-e-n killed uk ppv boxing by moving amir khan to ppv & his ridiculous ppv's for domestic fights like the magificent 7.

if all ppvs did business like haye did for sbo then they wouldn't ditch it. haye & hatton are the only 2 ppv draws sky have had.

True, but Haye's bouts have been embarressing. Sky straight up said they cannot expect their consumers to pay extra money to watch such travesties as Haye's fights. What does that say about David?

    source?

cos i thought sky said they wouldn't continue to put on ppvs for a "limited return"...ie: they were worried by ppvs not generating enough money.

It's obvious he's taking a page out of Mayweather's book. But the big difference between the two is Floyd wins big fights. Once Haye starts winning then he can talk.

Doesn't it tell you something when they say that, and David Haye is your biggest star? :think

this is the only direct quote from a representative of sky sports...except it was copied from an article in the daily express & it nowhere mentions haye.

"A senior source at Sky has been quoted by the Daily Express as saying, ‘We spend too much time trying to do deals on boxing for a limited return and do not think it’s fair on our audience to ask them to pay more for boxing. That is not to say we will never return to pay-per-view. It’s just not right for us at the moment.’"

    learn to read.

    "dull fights involving Haye against
    This content is protected
    and
    This content is protected
went on to further irk customers who felt as if they were being duped to part with their money."

What do think that means?^ Sure the fans were duped. Haye is a conman.

"That is not to say we will never return to pay-per-view. It’s just not right for us at the moment.’"

In other words we will just charge PPV for the real big money spinners in future and not pretty much every single boxing match being made.

    :happy

Sounds great to me, fans have been being ripped off for years by what they have been serving. Let's hope we see more boxing for free on C5.

PS A real big money spinner would be a HW title fight involving Haye Vs Vitali
