People thought Joshua was going to fight Hrgovic?

    Who actually thought that fight would happen?

    He has had four fights with Prime top 10 fighters:

    Joseph Parker (Close Win)

    Andy Ruiz Jr. (Loss, quit)

    Usyk (Loss)

    Usyk II (Loss plus crying meltdown)

    It's just not good business. That's why almost everyone on Joshua's resume is either 40 years old or outside the top 15. Hrgovich is going to go stale sitting on the shelf. He'll have to keep fighting the Zhang's and the Frank Sanchez' of the world.

    An 0-1 MMA fighter that Joshua is friends with will be a great addition to what I'm told is "THE BEST RESUME"

    Hrgovic is nowhere near Usyk`s level and Francis is a better striker than Hrgovic.

    I knew the fight wouldn't happen because it wasn't worth it on Joshua's part, Parker also wouldn't agree to the fight because the victory over Wilder opened the door for him to earn more money

    Like everyone I'm gutted by this fight.

    Although in terms of the bigger picture I love what Saudis are doing for HW boxing.

    With the Saudis we've had the two AJ card and the two Fury cards.

    As a net, we're better off.

    I just wish it was AJ v Hrgovic next.

    It will be in the summer. The IBF wont strip Usyk until late feb so if joshua is to fight in March it doesn’t leave time to organise the Hrgovic fight so it’s either he fights nobody until summer or fights ngannu in March as a keep busy fight.

    No it isn't, he could have faced Hrgovic now for the interim IBF and the winner gets promoted.

    Don't justify AJ fighting someone 0-1

    Joshua vs Ngannou is a massive fight. It's a no brainer he took that instead of a fight for some paper belt against Hrgovic.

    Exactly, also if Joshua wins comfortably or with ease then Fury's paradigm drops further into the toilet.
    Personally I think Usyk is the best and would clown the version of Fury of his last few outings, I'm still not convinced that fight actually happens, Fury is jelly.
    So that then means a dust up between Fury and Joshua for the Battle of Britain, which would be a huge fight.
    Ngannou could upset the script, Usyk still beats him.
    I don't think this era will end with a clear winner regardless, just because a few of the men were avoidant.

    Thats a good title eliminator there. Hrgovic won't want that fight though IMO.

    Why would Hrgovic fight for an interim title now when he is top of the rankings so will get to fight for the full title in the summer in a fight which is worth much more.
