I think many thought Bivol would win, but also thought if Canelo was on his feet in any way at the end, he would get a corrupt decision.

THankfully this didn't happen but the scorecards were way closer than they should have been.

Bivol had to almost 'shut out' just to get 7-5 score! That score is about 3 or 4 rounds too close! It was a 10-2 or 11-1 if you look fair at it.
If Canelo had fairly won 4 rounds, the judges would give him 7 or 8, so I can see why bets men did not think Bivol could overcome this 'fix'.

Frankly, on a round by round basis, the scores were an absolute disgrace.

I don’t blame the people. Bivol gave Canelo a boxing lesson and made him look slow and unskilled in the process. No way did he look like the PFP champ. Bivol outworked him, our landed him and fought on a much higher level, controlling distance and dictating the terms of the fight.

Looks like Bivol have Canelo a bargain in the negotiations for this one. If Canelo is serious about a rematch, he’s going to have to dig into his massive stack of pesos because he’s not getting it on the cheap this time. War Bivol.

Also, people were afraid to bet not because they thought Canelo was the better fighter. They (me) were concerned the judges would give the bigger money fighter an unfair gift on the cards. They tried but Bivol was too dominant. He defeated Canelo soundly and overcame the scum judges and ref who did everything possible to gift the fight to the roided Ginger hulk.

People also used the boring excuse to not bet on him. I've always been impressed by Bivol's skill. Boxing fans overthink their predictions.

There were two things working against Bivol. Anti-Russian bias & Canelo judges. The bookies knew this as well, that's why they had Canelo as a 5-1 favorite.

Of course people are going to be scared to bet on Bivol. He could win comfortably and still lose on the cards. It's easier to predict how Canelo judges would score the fight than who would win in the ring.

That's the sad corrupt reality of boxing. And Floyd betting $10,000 on Bivol? Pennies in his pocket... even he was afraid of Canelo's judges, otherwise he would have bet $100k+.

I really wasn’t afraid to bet but I mostly take my spare money and put it in the stock market. I’m kicking myself for not putting 500 on him, I was really confident that he would win this fight barring any corrupt judging.

I actually put money on bivol but Liverpool drawing with spurs killed my combination.
Otherwise Inwould have won 500 with a 30 bet.

I thought a lot about betting on the draw and on Bivol, but after boxing "experts" and guys like Hopkins told you Canelo is unstoppable right now and also Bivol weaknesses remain, he has a tendency to hide inside his shell, if Canelo finds a target Bivol can be in trouble. Last night it was easy he got hit only by 2 uppercuts in 12 rounds. Canelo wasted his punches on the arms and guards. He did a very bad job at trying to create opening. Did not use combinaison much. I think Canelo made a weak performance.

I had $100 on Bivol, so I won about $400.

The casino seemed to know something was up because they limited the bets to $300 for Bivol. I probably would have maxed out on Bivol if I didn't lose a bunch of money on the Kentucky Derby and I limit myself to one deposit per week.
