Because I am not ******ed I don't bother clicking on " view post " You on the other hand????????????????????????????????????????? Now, be a good dog, and go lie down.
I'm pretty sure these men would beat Tyson (prime vs. prime) Ali Holmes (he had retired, hadn't fought for 2 years or won a fight in 3 prior to his fight with Tyson, he even made a record when he should have been training) Holyfield (they were both past prime when they fought, a prime vs. prime match would have looked similar to the '96 fight though) Foreman These men would have a decent chance- Lewis Bowe V. Klitschko W. Klitschko These men may have a chance as well- Marciano Frazier Louis I cant imagine too many other having a decent chance to be honest.
I agree with Ali & Holyfield being probable, and Lewis and VK having decent chances. I give Louis a better than outside chance...also Dempsey, as much of a surprise as that may be to some. I think Mike himself wasn't sure he could take Jack. He was completely worshipful and in awe of Dempsey. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPtq7POYQUU&feature=player_detailpage#t=550 "It would be a privilege to be compared with him..."
I don't think guys like Jeffries, Johnson, Dempsey, Tunney, Schmeling, Sharkey, Carnera, Braddock, Charles, Walcott, Patterson, Johansson, Liston, and others had the right combination of size, strength, speed, power, durability, and skill to beat Tyson. Sure, some had a few of these qualities but none of them had all of these qualities in spades.
Dempsey was smaller (as in slighter and leaner of build) yet had 3" of height and twice as much advantage in reach. He certainly had the strength, explosive power, speed, durability, and, in his later mature days, the skill to compete with Tyson. Most importantly, he was a match or more for Tyson's ferocity and would defeat him in the mental intimidation game, as few could.
can someone please explain what ignore means to foxy, in her language, she doesn't get my English. I suspect she keeps trying to reply to me, though I cant be sure since I cant see her post content. but she blitzs a probably meaningless reply each time I remind her not reply because I cant read her. thx.
Lying is quite a natural phenomena to Walter Mitty types. Lying to yourself Ferral is another thing entirely. The reality is you keep clicking on " view post " on the right hand side of the page. Hence you keep replying. You might notice if your feeble mind will allow it, that I don't respond to anything Azzer writes, because I neither know or care who or what he is responding to. As for the thread, how about your list of people who beat a prime Tyson. I feel I have no need to produce one as in numerous threads I have commented on his over rated standing, and hype. I would prefer a list of guys who held meaningful titles who couldn't beat him from Liston onwards. I'd say Frazier Bruno, McCall, Holmes, and Valuev. I'd even give Haye an outside chance with his handspeed. When I get bored of ridiculing you, I will put you on ignore, and show you how it should be done.
188 Lbs. at 6' tall, 6'1" at the most. I don't care if his reach was 86"... Tyson always had the shorter reach and it was never really a disadvantage until he fought a really big man with skill and durability.
Liston had the whole toolset to do the job not to mention the aggression, ferocity etc. Tyson himself said the only guy he would be intimidated by was Liston. Liston was simply higher up than Tyson on the badass ladder, and Tyson knew it.
Tyson said that out of respect, he said a lot of good things about Dempsey as well. Foreman said he was scared of Frazier and Norton and that he avoided Quarry. Fighters say things... don't take it too seriously. Tyson was much faster than Liston, had better footwork, was a quicker starter, and was more elusive. They were both strong men with great power. Tyson showed his power vs. bigger, more durable men. They both took a good shot. Tyson took shots from bigger, more powerful men. Sure, Liston was a little taller and had a much longer reach. Tyson fought and beat plenty of fighters who were much taller than himself who had much longer reaches as well. Tyson never had the reach advantage and that never mattered until he was past his best. He slipped punches very well and was one of the best ever at getting inside... and when he got there, he was a great inside fighter. I don't see Liston beating Tyson. Liston stopped Folley KO3 and Patterson KO1 x2. Neither was the most durable HW ever, neither was very big. He decisioned Eddie Machen in a pretty decent scrap. Folley and Machen were pretty much on par with each other but Machen was usually the more durable. He stopped Cleveland Williams. Williams wasn't very durable and to be honest had very few notable wins. Tyson stopped Ferguson KO6 (was actually a DQ win (excessive holding) but was changed), M. Frazier KO1, Ribalta KO10, and Ratliff KO2 among others before winning his first world title at age 20. He had also won decisions vs. Tillis and Green. In HW world title fights he stopped Berbick KO2, Thomas KO6, Biggs KO7, Holmes KO4, Tubbs KO2, M. Spinks KO1, Bruno, and Williams. He also won decisions over Smith and Tucker during his first reign. He also beat Ruddock x2, Botha, Savarese, Golota (changed to a NC but was KO2), and others.
A possibility. He went on to be a major contender much later. Had Holmes even offered some semblance of managing Tyson's attack I might think otherwise, but Tyson utterly destroyed him, flattened a guy that Shavers, Cooney, Norton so many others, could not KO. Sorry buy Tyson very likely beats any version of Holmes. I don't think Holmes ever possessed the innate athletic abilities to avoid a prime Tyson attack. Holy didn't do three years in the joint and lose his **** mentality. The poor man's Tyson, Bert Cooper, had Holyfield clinging for life. Iron Mike, thru 90 or perhaps later, would still have Holy's number. Quicker, more powerful, more emphatic performer.
foxy appears to have fallen in love with me. shes on ignore, I have no idea what she writes nor any interest, but keeps coming back for more. lets hope thers no dead bunny in my bed next. on a more serious note, if shes taken back he lie about me being a tyson fanboy who thinks he beats all, then its no problem , all forgiven.
