People who criticise Pacs wins over Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito

Hatton not a cherry pick
Cotto not a cherry pick ( though he didn't accept Mosley, even at a catchweight )
Clottey is a cherry pick ( didn't accept the blood test to avoid Mayweather )
Margarito not really a cherry pick ( just wanted to get another easy vacant belt )

 

Well instead of Cotto he should have fought Mosley at that time.

Instead of Margarito, perhaps berto or mayweather (but tbh i think both camps had a plan to prolong the fight, so thats out of the question)

Possible JMM instead of clottey, but clottey is a good fighter but just didnt put up a fight

 

Its amazing everyone says Pacman beat these guys because those guys were not the same, showed too much wear and tear......

Why doesnt PAcman have this excuse hes been in more wars than any of those guys fought more times and also been Kod ealry in his career.....will you guys give Pacman the excuse of being past his prime/ wear and tear excuse?????

It's just haters hating. I consider all 4 wins to be great wins. Hatton was undefeated at LWW. Cotto was a great win, no explanation needed. Clottey was one of the best WWs in the world and had a huge size advantage over Pacman. And Margarito, although not in his prime, still had a 17 lb advantage come fight night. And it wasn't like Margarito was just some chump, he was at one point considered the most avoided man in boxing.

 

Thing is, all those guys are top 3 best opponents available at the time. Can you imagine if everyone was held to the same standards? Bare in mind Pac doesn't even do tune ups, unless you consider Margo/Clottey level fighters tune ups. If you consider Margo a tuneup, you have to wonder why someone would turn down 8mil for a tuneup...

 

Hatton and Cotto were not cherry picks.

I only have a problem with the clottey fight...and how is he one of the best WW when he has lost every big fight... He should have beat cotto but HE DIDNT. THey knew this guy wasnt gonna fight manny cause his output is ridiculous. In fact it was worse than normal and he did try to punch, he landed on Manny. EASILY.
Yet after such a horrible performance he gets an additional bonus??? COme on now!

As far as MArg. I dont think he should have gotten the shot at manny just yet, but what ever...The only problem that i have with that is the politics that came with it and how people let things get out of perspective. Regardless, you cant change this fact. Marg is one of those wide punching bags that swing slow. And manny could have left that fight untouched if he CHOSE to. In other words, tailor made opponent. But I dont trip off of that. But I do trip off of it being for the MW title. THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.

 

Caneman your arguement is *******ed. A small number of handpicked responses to prove a point only works if there was actually no-one stating Manny would mash Hatton and we both know there were plenty of those.

I myself was hoping that Hatton would do a number on Senator Steroido but the stupid tool jumped in, leading with his chin and paid the price.

The thread was made 14 months before their encounter and 2 months after Ricky was KO'd by Floyd. At that point in time Pac had still to fight Marquez in the rematch. The thread link is there. Nobody saying Hatton is done, just about all saying Pac would be crushed at 140, well except for PacDbest.
