I'm not criticizing Berto, nor am I saying he's not good enough to fight Pac. I'm just projecting the comments from people should Pacquiao fight him and beat him.

Take away the catchweights/rehydration clauses and you can tell when his last LEGIT win was!

Paul Williams? why not? In his prime
Martinez? Why not? In his prime
Berto? Why not? In his prime
Bradley? Why not? In his prime

End of the day, no-one cares.

Mayweather or nothing as far as I'm concerned. Take the blood tests, prove you're clean and get the fight on for the fans who deserve this fight, having put up with boxing polotics, too many belts and broken promises from boxers for the past 10 years.

UFC pits the best against the best, boxing should do the same

UFC only has one champion per weight class......boxing has multiple champions in each weight class, in some instances more than 4 per weight class.
This becomes a problem when when trying to match the best vs the best.

I guarantee you, if we had today one champion per weight division, Henry Armstrong would still hold the record for most world titles in different weight divisions, because I dont see any fighter since that would have accomplished 4.

It's happened plenty of times. Do your own research.

Top 10 P4P Sugar Ray Leonard won 2 weight title belts in one catchweight fight! If it was good enough for SRL, it's good enough for Pac!

145 for Pacquiao-Cotto? You can thank the pioneers for that!

Facing him was the 29-year-old Whitaker, with a record of 32-l with 15 KOs, the one loss the product of a dubious bit of ringside sleight of hand. He was the stylistic antithesis of Chávez—a southpaw, clever and quick-footed, with a bobbing, crouching, mobile style that made him an elusive target. Whitaker has also held five titles in three weight classes (he retained his WBC welterweight crown as dubious consolation for this draw), and his 12-round decision over Buddy McGirt on March 6 set up the match with Chávez. On Friday they were fighting for Whitaker's title,

, but there was a good deal more at stake. "This is for the best fighter, pound for pound," said Whitaker, a U.S. Olympic gold medal winner in 1984. "We may be fighting for my title, but that's not what everyone is talking about. This is like going for the gold again."

I have...and it seems these "times" you refer to are concerning certain midlewieght boxers fighting at above 160...not going down in weight below the limit...this whole catchweight BS was pretty much unheard of prior to the DLH fight...
