People who hate Williams arent true boxing fans.

I like Williams. But the fact of the matter is hes not much of a draw so to make $ he has to fight the top guys. He also needs to bring belts to the table. I like the fact that he stays active, and the way he destroyed Quitana in the rematch was gangsta:thumbsup

 

I've been tracking Paul's career since I saw one of his very early fights on ESPN. I knew right off he would make it to the upper tier of the sport.

He's a tough and exciting pressure fighter. He uses work rate, pressure, and physical advantages to win fights. He is not a great boxer, and I find it very irritating when hs fans act like he is the ******* love child of Sweet Pea and Godzilla.

I detest his promoter and his trainer. Goosen is a moron, and Peterson is worse. The whole "most feared fighter in the world" story is pure bull****. Williams fought 6 times in less than 2 years. How do you find 6 fights in 2 years if everyone is avoiding you?

 

I dont like Williams because he is a freakshow and extremely overrated.

 

My only problem was a guy standing 6'1 with an 81 inch reach fighting welterweights. A guy like that should be a middleweight or super middle to be fair. He is now, so it doesn't bug me so much. Either rematch with Martinez or a fight with Pavlik, he's where he belongs rather than being a nicolai valuev to the welterweight division.

exactly wants to act the big man in a weight class he shouldnt be in and i dont know what fight anybody else was watching that night but i thought martinez was the fighter trhat won and showed a higher skill level, i dont hate PW but I dont share the same enthuasism for him as the thread starter does

He wants no part of Pavlik now ... and I am a fan of Williams, and I love his style... but him and his dumb trainer's **** talking can cause people to dislike him.. His trainer said that Pavlik would be their easiest fight ever, well if they truly believed that then why won't they take the fight? Pavlik is now going to fight the guy who just beat Williams, Martinez

 

Anybody who gets as many threads and articles on the web as PW is good for boxing because they are drawing attention to the sport.

 

when he rematches martinez,it would be a different story,a lot of people though martinez won,and showed how weak williams is...we will see!...also maybe im not a true boxing fan,i only been into boxing for 15 years,and help chicanito with his cancer(donating)and been in boxing shows in l.a ,mexico and europe.....

 

Don't hate him but Martinez battered him.
