There have been a couple of short delays in fights coming off. So what? Delays, not outright postponements. The first round was initially scheduled to be completed by the end of 2010, and guess what? Thats exactly what it's on pace to do. The tournament was scheduled to be over at the end of 2011 and that's exactly what it's on pace to do.

After Saturday, going back to October it will already have given us 4 big time fights, big time matchups.

And people on here question the Super Six?

Look at the names these participants were fighting prior to the tournament:

    Abraham--ATG's Oral, Simon, Raul Marquez

Dirrell--Hall of Famers Findley, Oganov, Paschall

    Ward--the legends Pudwill, Miranda, Buchanan

Kessler--the murderers row of Perdomo, Haussler, and Sartison

Now all of these guys are in nothing but big time fights.

So, next time one of these fights gets delayed a month or two, take a minute to reflect before you *****.

Cosign. Gotta love the fact that these guys and promoters agreed to this. Most fighters (Kessler, abraham and Dirrell) I do not or did not want to see lose but It's all for the good of the tourney. I'm hoping all the fighters come out of the tourney without having everything taken out of them.

Life and boxing are imperfect. This tournament is the best thing to happen in the sport in a long time. I just wish Taylor and Kessler had been more competitive in their first bouts. The event deflated a bit after that, like it's already down to Abraham and Ward to win.

Agreed! I think its brilliant for boxing and that it should be extended to most divisions in order to get rid of some of these stupid titles that exsist now.

I mean how great would it be to see the 6 best welters (for example) fighting without so much of a mention of drug testing

I loved the idea of this tournament and the participants since it was first talked about. So far nothing has changed. Good first round and the second round should be better yet. Delays, tournament takes a long time, and a bad Dirrell-Froch decision have been the low points but some of that is expected. So far its been good on paper and good in the ring.

I agree. I don't understand how anyone can not like the tourney. Well...except for Bute/Pavlik fans.

It's a fantastic idea and should be implemented in other divisions. No cherry picking, no bull****. Top guys taking each other on, it's fantastic for us boxing fans. Light Welter would be fantastic. Imagine Bradley, Alexander, Khan, Maidana, Malignaggi and one wild card fighter like McCloskey or Diaz.

I agree that this tourney is the best thing to happen to boxing in a while. I don't think that the event deflated tho after the first round. I was sad to see JT go, but I look at Green as a wildcard... I don't expect him to do much, if anything, but I won't be shocked if he pulls an upset or two...

Bottom line, Super 6 = awesome, and they need to do this with more divisions!
