Aside from the classic blanket answer of everyone. I'm trying to get together a list of fighters sued Don King. Here's who I already know. Tim Witherspoon Ali Tyson Lennox Holyfield Holmes Meldrick Taylor Saoul Mamby Julio cesar Chavez Hasim Rahman Daniel Dubois Keep it going.
Terry Norris and Orlin Norris https://casetext.com/case/norris-v-don-king-productions-inc https://www.espn.com/boxing/news/2003/1210/1683247.html https://apnews.com/article/462357fb3e7383acee8fad32dc074f6a
wasn't there a Black Fighter, round about L-HW who was really pushing his Contention rights in the 80's or 90's and King had him basically impotent re-fights or something like that... I seem to remember he was in the Courts, at the Boards and even on TV - ESPN or something talking about it all. He was a tall lean fighter, if I remember right. No Idea what his name was.
William Guthrie? He was in the documentary In and Out of the Ring which talks about King’s power and the IBF ratings scandal. This content is protected
yeah that's got to be him... these are the Reason's Boxing could have a ReWritten History. Some Champs wouldn't be and some Contenders would be Champs.
Good luck to any fighter suing any boxing promoter. Ike Williams tried to get better rights for fighters (money) in the 40's and got blackballed by the mob/promoters. From the bottom of the boxing pile ie an average amateur boxer, I've looked up at thousands of ex ATG's, world champions, national champs, regional champs, journeyman (and women) and admired them all. Boxing promoters including men like Don King, on the the other hand deserve no respect. Maybe there's been a decent promoter but I haven't heard of them
