People who keep saying BoxNation is smashing Sky

Who are you an explain what your talking about?

 

Ero sums up my thoughts, Boxing forum yet all we seem to debate about nowadays is Hearn,Frank,Boxnation and Sky etc. The stuff that goes on in the ring seems to come secondary to these hidden agendas on both sides.

People who were decent posters now seem more intent on debating this bollocks. British boxing is in great health. Sky as Solaris says is a sports channel, Boxnation is a boxing channel.

We're in for a fantastic few years, enjoy it, embrace it and get on with it. I genuinely think some people want to see Boxnation fail and others see Hearn fail or Frank to fail. Not real boxing fans if that's the case..

Get back to debating the sweet science lads.

 

Lot of people with barely any posts cropping up lately in these threads.

 

I think things like Facebook and Twitter are partly to blame for the way this forum's gone recently. Certain fighters and promoters have used social media to air their dirty laundry, and certain people here just lap it up.

 

People don't debate on here anymore. Go to threads about actual boxing and its just people hurling insults at eachother and acting smug about there boxing knowledge over other posters.

 

You think if fighters don't get paid nobody should talk about it?

 

That wasn't part of the Sky Sports package though. I don't know why Sky fan boys seem to think otherwise.

Just because somebody makes such a claim on Twitter that doesn't mean we should be discussing it here. It's a matter for the concerned parties to discuss, not the likes of you, me, and the rest of ESB.

Discussions on here about those kind of things only end up getting threads shut down and posters getting banned. This forum is much better when people talk about actual boxing rather than some of the crap that's been posted in the last few months.

If you were BT would you need to buy boxnation or just buy the rights to fights yourself.

 

Mate I don't want to steal your thunder here, but I've been saying this for months now.

All anyone wants to talk about on here anymore is the drama that happens outside the ring and the numbers around the sport. :tired

Promoters must be rubbing their hands, you're doing 99% of the job for them by keep talking about them. They aint bothered if its critical or complimentary, as long as their name and their fighters are still relevant. Most of you love Eddie and hate Frank, yet you fail to realize none of that **** really matters and they are all the same deep down anyway! They don't give a **** about your or I, as long as you are paying top dollar! Thats what its all about, the quicker you realize this, the better. You are an idiot if you think they do because they dish sweeties out on Social Media. They do it for a reason and ya'll keep biting like stupid dogs chasing after a treat.

All the fans should be concerning themselves with is the fights, thats all that matters, as fans we want to see the best fights. The REAL problem here is just that, we aint getting 'em! Especially from Sky!

Sky's cards have been **** from top to bottom. 1 occasional good main event doesn't make or save an utterly **** boring on paper, boring in the ring card. Its about getting your moneys worth as the fan paying, if its only one decent fight, then you should be able to pay for that one fight. Not for filler.

I have no agenda or allegiance like some on here (although some of you are probably hoping I have)

But say what you want about Boxnation, and them being solely focused on boxing, they are putting on better shows and better quality fights. Channel 5 has also put on better fights than Sky. The problem here is that people/and boxing fans are paying top dollar for Sky Sports monthly, and it aint delivering! Blame Smith, blame Eddie, blame whoever, but the facts are facts. It just aint good enough.

The moment you think you have a fight that will deliver (Froch vs Kessler II rematch) its on Sky Box Office PPV!!!!

Instead of talking about the drama outside the ring, the BS rumours, the viewing figures, the promoter vs. promoter agendas....talk about just how much the boxing fan is getting royally ****ed over!

Either that or....

Talk boxing, or GTFO. :deal

 

well said craney, the PPV bull**** on Sky is past its sell by date. Froch Kessler wont get many buys its on Champions League night and people will watch it on online or in the pub , many may not watch it all.

As for Hayes imminent return to PPV, dear oh dear.
