Bitterness isnt a virtue. The man is a cracking fighter, their isnt much to say about that.

The title of the thread is right.

These idiots who are saying he has awful technique are basically indirectly saying that he is a goddam genius to get to 45-0.

Imagine what he would be like if he could punch properly eh? :think

Thats right lets look for a positive out of a negative! The guy is 45-0 has the technique of a drunk dog so that means that IF he could actually punch he`d be even greater than he is now! Perfect Algebra. Absolutely stunning logic at its best:lol:

He is a great boxer and a terrible fighter. He does what he has to do to win boxing matches, outland, outwork, evade. His boxing skills are very good, not ATG, but very good. You can't have that record if your merely average, but it does flatter a little. It's not his power that i think people find fault with, it's his technique and his style.

I think against Hopkins, he wanted to flurry, but at the same time was wary of being countered, so he ended up throwing pitty patty punches which serve to land and sort of protect him at the same time as he's not committing to them.

I wouldnt call him a great boxer at all. Joe would have been stood on his head by a prime Hopkins or RJJ. He simply came along at the right time and was brought along slowly enough to capitalise on an old opponent. Typical Warren fighter in my opinion.

I doubt Hopkins would have beaten Joe at any stage of his career post Eubank, unless he caught him on a broken hand night.

RJJ would of stood him on his head? Maybe. Maybe not. McClellan was supposed to do a number on Benn wasn't he? Calzaghe fought the best in his division and beat em, RJJ did not do the same. Joe has never tested positive for steroids, Roy has. In any case even if he was soundly beaten by RJJ where exactly is the shame to losing to one of the best H2H fighters for decades? It wouldn't suddenly erase his wins now would it?

Yes, great boxer being relative. He is a cut above 99% of guys who turn pro, making him great, he is also below quite a lot of fighters around his weight: middle and light heavy, therefore not making him ATG. Hopkins and RJJ are both ATG.

McClellen beats any version of Benn. Injuries like that are luck of the draw, it can happen anytime. Steroids help how in boxing? I have seen a lot of people do gear in my time, they have very little application in boxing save bulking up quickly.
