Hasnt he won a fight one handed? Didnt he beat castillo the first time with broken ribs? The only time ive seen him hurt he came back and won the rest of that very round...

so why do people continue to question his toughness? when he needs to dig deep... he does, no?

i hope hatton can push him over that line though :bbb

Nobody has seen him in deep water, because he has been too good.

Mayweather obviously has great toughness and heart because nobody doesn't who has reach a world class level. He's very tough indeed.

But people want to see him prove his toughness at a level like Corrales, Gatti, Morales, and Barrera.

I don't think he would respond as well in the situations they have been in, but I give him massive credit for never having to get into those situations. It's a testament to his talent and greatness as a fighter.

We are talking two different things, moderate and severe ring adversity.

The type of situation SRL dealt with when facing Hearns, for example, is different from breaking a hand against an opponent which you outclass.

He is in his weight class right now. He is sized fine for 140lbs or 147lbs.

And Brooklyn isnt suggesting that he purposefuly enters a slugfest, only suggesting his opinion on what would happen if he found himself there.

JLC pressed Mayweather all the way in their first fight and many scored it for JLC.

It's certainly no means in the ball park of SRL's performance in the first Hearns fight - But the Judah fight certainly displayed Floyd's cup check passed...Thanks to Roger and his WWE management style.

I'm suprised he didn't hit Judah with the belt...

I didn't mean Floyd should fight them to prove himself a warrior, I was saying that fans want him to prove his toughness at the level they did in all out wars that bring out another dimension in guys. If he had to, I don't see him doing as good, but at the same time, I give him loads of credit for having the talent to stay out of wars and take as little punishment as possible.

To show Mayweathers heart and determination for people who really havent followed his career, I like to present this fight. Chavez is basically a mirror image of Hatton, and Mayweather stood right in the middle of the ring and traded with him blow for blow.

    In terms of heart?

Maybe in terms of skills - In that regard, not many people can argue.

In terms of heart, there's plenty of fighters that have displayed more heart than PBF many times.

Case in point and the embodiment of this example - Diego Corrales.

    Read my earlier posts.

He was challenged by Castillo and Oscar, but no, he was not in deep.

I referenced the SRL vs Hearns fight as my subjective viewpoint on a fighter being in trouble and pulling it out.
