i say it all the time im neutral my mind says mayweather but a pac win wouldnt surprise me.. but! all the pac haters saying he hasnt knocked anyone since 2009 and he "lost his power" what about floyd? he hasnt *really* knocked anyone out since hatton on 2007! ortiz knockout was a knockout yes. but cmon that was a cheap shot. now yes it was ortiz fault but if anyone gets shot when they are just standing upright not expecting is gna get hurt.. so when that argument is brought up i never umderstand why no one brings this up

I don't think many expect Mayweather to knock Pacquiao out with one punch like Marquez, but by a series of punches with combinations. Pacquiao does charge in, he does leave himself open and if he getting caught then you know he's not going to block it. Pacquiao is not a good defensive boxer, his defense is having a good offense, so if it's falling apart for him and he's put on the backfoot in the fight, then you know he's ****ed.

The difference is Pacqiauo is made out to be a KO artist and hasn't done so in years.

Floyd is not known as a ko artist and people also seem to ignore his opposition.

Mosely, Guerrero, Marquez, Hatton, Canelo and Maidana had never been stopped at the time of Floyd facing them.

Cotto, stopped twice, Oscar stopped only once by Hopkins and Ortiz stopped only once by Maidana.

The way I see it, Bradley hurt Pacquiao and Floyd definitely hits harder and has better timing than Bradley. Pacquiao will be lunging in off balance all night like Hatton did vs Floyd, so it's not out the window that Floyd can stop him. I wouldn't bet on it though because I don't think Floyd will go out of his way to follow up if he does hurt Manny or that he'll press for a KO

Then what it comes down to is, Floyd hits just as hard as Pacqiuo, but is more durable, smarter and harder to get to.

Pacqiauo has been knocked out multiple times and has no defence nor does he have a significant size advantage over Floyd

    Equals a Floyd KO

The reason it is brought up as a possibility is precisely because of what you mentioned, floyd's last knockout was against Hatton.

Pacquiao will be the smallest man Mayweather has faced since... You guessed it: Ricky Hatton.

People seem to ignore the fact he has been routinely out weighed by about 15 pounds on average.

A KO doesn't have to be by one punch. I and others on here believe Mayweather will get to Pacquiao enough that he will be able to score a late stoppage like he did to Ricky Hatton. I don't think that is too far out of the realm of possibility. Mayweather fights totally different when he is the larger fighter which has not been the case in a long time. I think with Pacquiao's fragile Chin and the size and precision punching advantage Mayweather has we get a late KO/TKO.

I don't think Floyd will KO pac, I'm a Floyd fan, but it's clear to me that all of his hand injuries diminished his power. Floyd will try to outsmart Pac, and win a UD.

Floyd has glass hands. He breaks his hand everytime he throws a power punch. If he attempted knocking out Manny he'd have to face numerous 8 counts like he did against Hernandez

Floyd doesn't have 1 punch power.
Floyd doesn't put his punches together, he pot shots.
It'll take a sudden and DRASTIC increase in knock out ability that we haven't seen over the course of Floyd's career.
