Ortiz fight was a Farce and IMO a NC
Cotto fight was different because of Cotto and the same goes with Mosley. They are A grade fighters even past there Prime.

And guess what mate it is what it is.

Oh its great if you like that as a fan but me personally Im a Boxing fan because of
    Hagler
    Hearns
    Tyson
    Fenech
    Tsyzu
    Dela Hoya
    Trinidad
    Pacquiao

And what do those guys have in common they bring one thing to the Ring Floyd never has.
    Excitement.
Those are the fighters that got me into Boxing.
I want my fighters with Heart, Power, Not scared to go toe to toe, Grit.

These qualities make me want to spend money on Boxing.

    Not Fear, Jabbing or Defense.

The fact that Guerrero is a poor opponent makes it all the more unacceptable, I wasn't looking forward to this fight at all but I thought that I'd at least get to see Mayweather display his full arsenal and put a beating on the blown up, undeserving lightweight, so I tuned in. Instead we got that potshotting **** for 12 rounds. Mayweather didn't throw a single hook or uppercut until his hand was injured. Thank god his hand did break. If Guerrero is so inferior then why couldn't Mayweather land combinations?

He threw way more punches and used Defense instead of running. That was nothing like what Rigo did.

Hearns was a boxer with a great jab. De La Hoya was a boxer with a great jab. Tszyu was primarly a boxer. Hagler for the vast majority of his career relied on defense and timing. Tyson was an educated boxer puncher. Pacquiao liking to go toe to toe is the biggest myth in boxing. Dude likes to dart in and out, get his punches off then retreat to a safe distance. Rarely does he like to exchange usually he'll just put both his gloves up and absorb the blows to his arms.

:huh You really didnt name any brawlers there.

I'm mad, because Floyd made it look hard. There is no excuse not to land combinations on an opponent of Guerrero's calibre.

I watch almost the whole. I was impressed by the coordination, the controled creativity, the planed defensive movements of Meaweather who was hitting and not getting hit. Guerrero looked sloppy compared to him. What a masterclass performance I thought. Still I went to bed before by the ninth round. Masterclass, but boring.

Before the fight it was all, Floyd is now 36, his legs have gone, Guerrero is the new face of boxing when he beats Floyd (hahaha) ect ect. Floyd has just schooled a man, at the age of 36, who recently busted up and made his *****, a competent, decent to high level fighter in Berto. Guerrero was no bum before this fight he was a hungry, solid , aggressive and confident fighter, but the Floyd effect makes people look like a half dead mouse being toyed with by a cat. Respect the greatness, last night was a boxing master class by an ATG! Deal with it

but the question is, did you expect a bunch of combinations? Does mayweather regularly throw high number of combinations? all the complaints you mentioned, seem to be the same kind of complaints people have had for mayweather since he fought baldomir. And say what you want, if you been watching mayweather for a while, you'll notice he did throw more power shots then usual in this fight.

You have a right to your opinion, the only thing is, how did you not see it coming?

You think Im mad. **** No.

Im upset because the BEST very Best fighter in the World is fighting guys like Geurrero and more than likely Khan next.

When the fights the Fans want to see are never going to happen.

Marvin Hagler wouldnt let this happen either would Ray Leonard.

Or any of the other greats so why the **** should Floyd get a Pass.

I will read out Ray Leonards last 10 opponents see if you can ****ing see what Im getting at.

    Kalule
    Hearns
    Finch
    Howard
    Hagler
    Lalonde
    Hearns
    Duran
    Norris
    Camacho

Can you as a fan spot the difference

None of Floyds opponents ever could wear the jock strap of either
    Duran, Hagler or Hearns.

i love how the premise for this debate is layed out.

    1. you either find it entertaining or
    2. dont have a clue about boxing

arent we all lucky to have you on this board, to tell os mere mortals how it is.

Personally i did not find the it entertaining per se, while i was impressed by floyd, that was a world class operator against someone, who was a class or 2 below his level. Floyd neutralized guerrero, that in itself is impressive, but i wouldnt call it entertaining.

i will finish my post by saying, that just like in all other aspects of life, it´s a matter of taste. What you enjoy, others might find distastefull and vice versa. Imo Boring is a tad harsh imo, as i appreciate the level floyd brings to the ring, but as the skill level was so obvoius and the outcome of the fight was never in any doubt, i can see why people werent entertained by the fight itself. To some that is boring and i can definetly see where they are coming from.
