People who say Mayweather was boring last night.

Because of his opponent. Guerrero is a blown up lightweight who had a war with Andre Berto. In other words, he's a bum. Can't punch or fight. If I'm watching and can see how open Guerrero always is to an uppercut yet Floyd is only interested in retreating until he can pot shot with the straight right from a safe distance... that's pathetic. I enjoyed Mayweather against Hatton, against Mosley, because they were respectable opponents at the time. Ortiz is B grade at best but at least Floyd put consecutive punches together to finish the show. Guerrero is a pathetic opponent, Baldomir level opponent which is why I was bored and why the crowd booed throughout the fight. If a fighter poses no threat then you have no excuse not to commit to shots and throw combinations. That right foot off the ground, falling in right hand is fine if you're Roy Jones fighting at heavyweight but not against Guerrero atsch

 

Yeah look for my posts before the fight, I said that it was a joke of a fight from the moment it was announced. What I didn't expect was a joke of a performance from Floyd.

 

It was an excellent performance as every boxing expert and real boxing fan is grading it as.

Yes I see waited to fight Hagler when he saw slippage ,catch weight fight and thought the hit man was shot and had to fight for his life .

 

seriously, did you watch the fight? you didn't see guerrero face all busted up? around the 8th, it looked like guerrero might eventually get stopped with all the right hooks he was eating. it was after, mayweather claimed he hurt his hand later rds. which is very possible, given how much he was tagging guerrero.

you're complaining about something that was obvious before may 4th, that mayweather is a lot better then RG. but as far as commiting to shots, you're just not being reasonable. you do realize FM, is not a ko artist right?

 

**** everybody, I don't care if you are the best boxing logician or a regular hardcore fan or a casual fan, that fight was boring. It's ok, just admit it. It doesn't take anything away from Mayweather's smart fighting.

It's annoying enough that we're seeing the best fighter in the sport take on a fight against someone on the level of Guerrero who is not actually an exciting fighter, no he's not.
