The zero can mean a lot if a boxer faces great opposition to keep it. Floyd has definitely done that. Hence the hype behind his zero, but no hype for a guy like Wilder.

Faking a retirement to preserve an undefeated record is unprecedented. It's downright historic.

It's not completely meaningless, but competition outweighs it about 100 to 1. Otherwise, you'd see people like David Roddriguez becoming big stars just because they have gaudy paper records.

Its meaningless when fights like pacman don't happen for whatever reason. 2 top guys in one division (both p4p) that don't fight is a disgrace to the sport not matter who is to blame.

I wouldn't say meaningless, but he ducked the big fights at welterweight against the guys who were in their primes. No Margarito, undefeated Cotto, P. Williams, Pacquiao, etc. Don't get me wrong, I think he would have won all of those fights, but it would have been great to see them. Just think what they would have done for his legacy.

Margarito is an overrated bum who won't even be in the HOF. Why the hell would sign to fight Maragrito and cost himself the DLH fight.

Cotto's team told Mayweather he was too green at 140.

    P. Williams got spanked by Quitana.

Pacquiao turned down the biggest guranteed payday of his career

The biggest fight in the history of the sport deserves a 50/50 split.

No, Margarito was the most feared guy in the division at one time. He was offered $8,000,000, but turned it down. In retrospect, it is good that he didn't fight Antonio because he was a f*cking cheat. I am glad he didn't now, but my point is, Mayweather DID NOT TAKE THE FIGHT!

Cotto was the undefeated #1 contender for Floyd's 147 lb. title. You do remember I said "welterweight" right? Floyd opted to duck Cotto and defend his title against the giant, Ricky Hatton. You know, the jr. welterweight champion at the time.

Paul Williams demolished Quintana (there is an "n" in his name) in one round in their rematch. Again, I think Floyd would have spanked Williams worse than Quintana did, but HE DID NOT TAKE THE FIGHT! That is my point!

Floyd ducked Pacquiao, plain and simple. Manny agreed to the random testing as far back as 2009, they just couldn't agree on the cut off date. Then Manny agreed to take it all the way up to the fight. Floyd's next excuse was the money split. Floyd never wanted to fight Pacquiao. I honestly don't know why. The biggest payday of his career and he would have won. But guess what? HE DID NOT TAKE THE FIGHT!!!

  13. Credit to Fraud for keeping his "0" he still has to beat a fellow Pro, at a sport where anything can happen.
He has dodged bullets and had pitiful excuses to not fight them. But all in all a ZERO after 40+ fights is meaningfull

He's got a great resume and the consistency and level of opposiition is very solid...great accomplishments.

However not enought to get near some other ATG's although he is one in his own right....where he is placed is the debate...me personaly anywhere from 30-40 is alright with me.

It's not about the 0. It's about the 40+ wins.
