Some of these guys are clueless.

They still haven't realised that Joshua's physique could be a hindrance to him.

Now mr bodybuilder checked pictures from the Joshua-klitschko weigh in. And he gave them both around 10%BF

Much less than the somewhat lean Ali from the Cooper II weigh in at just 201.5 pounds with nearly 15%BF
Say 14.5%BF to be all fair.

Even this lean and light weighted prime Ali from 1966 didnt come close to modern standard BF% in weigh ins. Just Think about how light prime 66's Ali would have been coming in at 10% bodyfat combined with 7.5 pound Weight cutting. Just like modern athletes in cruiserweight do.

Ali just screams modern CW all over him.

Now we have calculated Ali going from 14.5% of bodyfat down to 10:

    201.5*0.145=29.2175

    29.2175/14.5=2.015

    2.015*10=20.15

    29.2175-20.15=9.0675

    201.5-9.0675=192.4325

So there you have it. If Ali was as ripped as Joshua or Klitschko he would only weight in at 192.5 pounds.

    192.5 pounds.

    192.5...

To take it even further. He would also have no problem to water weight cutting it even more from there.

    192.5-7.5=185

185 pounds would be no problem for prime Ali...

    185 pounds.

    185...

    it will be the easiest fight since he became pro; he is a guy that can punch in MMA where weak chins go;

In fact Ali weighted in at 188 pounds as late as 1961-10-07 against Alex Miteff as 19 years, 8 months and 20 days of age.

    Fact: http://boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Fight:22868

    Bodybuilders calculation seems legit.

Boxing will always come down to skill. Size only matters when you are evenly skilled and bigger. None of the heavies that are mentioned are as skilled as Ali. Wait, scratch what i just said and delete me from this **** thread lol.

He was measured at 6''2 1/2 with shoes on his passport. The man was 6''2 give or take a shade either way.

No heavyweight has ever moved as good as Ali or had his reflexes.

He is arguably the fastest, smartest, toughest and showed more heart than any heavyweight in history. He was also a master at performing under pressure when it mattered. These merits alone make him a tricky customer for any super heavyweight.
It is not always a case of Big is Best!

If small Cooper or Fraizer could clock him down with the hook. Im sure the boys from the big leauge would flip the switch.

Did you know that small Ali outsized his competition more so than SuperHW Wlad?

    A few things to consider:

    1. For the above to be accurate, you'd need actual proof of Ali's percentage of body fat.

    2. Nobody cares anyway. Ha!

Why are you quoting your own posts?

    Again, we don't care.

Ali wouldn't have been a CW.

Although Joshua's physique looks great on the eye, it will probably become a hindrance to him at some point.

There's only a handful of HW's today who had a physique as good as Ali's.

The majority of the best HW's of the 70's, had better physiques and were better conditioned than the majority of today's HW's.

Ali would have caused havoc in today's HW, due to his skills, speed, heart, chin and confidence.

Stop overdosing on stats, and put your time to better use.

Go and watch some actual fights.

    Still using that logic huh?

It's like you've only been watching the sport for 6 months.

Of course the big boys had the power to hurt him and knock him out. But they'd have needed the opportunity, which wouldn't have been a given, because as per the old adage: Styles make fights.

Im sure Ali wouldnt be a complete joke today like Sconiers or Nichols. Im thinking more in the level of Cunningham or Chambers. Good not Great. More in the top 40's mix. A good name on the resume climbing up.

I like Ali's unique attributes coming to the table but hard cold facts is what it is.
