1989 Foreman drops the right hand on forward moving Liston and renders him asleep for the 10 count

I see no evidence of this.

I'm wondering if Liston might have had better one-punch power.

Of course, Louis had the most freakishly powerful combinations ever imo.

Thats funny, because i also legitimately think Byrd would beat Liston. It's an unpopular opinion but i stand by it

The question must be are you wondering if Liston was as effective in knocking people out as Joe Louis was?

Louis was so darn precise and accurate he knocked guys effortlessly. Completely out too. And you don’t need to do anymore than that.

Liston was a wrecking ball. But was it quite as effective? I don’t know. Who can say. Louis knocked out better fighters though. And cold.

no legend chok wasnt as effective but like I said couple weeks ago if joe was in 70s his punches wouldnt have the same impact people wouldnt look at him as so great he wouldnt be known as being so accurate and a master at timing to hit combos cause be would be destroyed

son even though he had good tech his punches didnt look as effective but its cause of the fighters he fought he fought real hws just like the rest of his era

it makes me shake my head when I see a troll say joe fought hw like max or primo or anybody else it's like they never seen the 70s-90s cause anybody who seen those years knows Joe's era was trash compared

saying he fought hw when all those dudes was trash compared to 70s-90s none of those dudes would make pro

all those dudes joe fought would be destroyed and fast by all of the big/ middle name 70s-90s fighters

to me when I see joe I see the man who came at the perfect time had he tried coming into the 70s with that bad footwork no real head movement and lack of defense people

when I see 90s holyfield the best ver of him I see a more advanced ver of joe as far as punch tech not exact but similar to punch style combined with footwork and defense which I feel joe would have upgraded his style to which would be the only way he would win any match in the said eras

Many boxers from the 80s-90s would have beaten him.
Liston had a very poor resume and mostly overpowered small men or tomato cans. His 84 inch reach was an exaggeration.

even if that quote/myth of his reach being that long was true he didn't use it as to outbox his opponent like a fury or others use so I dont know why people so impressed by it lots of people got long reaches doesn't mean they box good

it would be like if ali didnt have good skills and then people sayin he was tall it means nothing why be impressed by that cause thats how son was he only had power but was slow and easy to read oh and he had a long reach people just impressed by weird things here

I don’t see that this can be proven beyond doubt. Those guys from Joe’s era look slower, to the untrained eye old timers look less impressive compared to what we regard as impressive today, but in many ways they were more sophisticated. They had to be because they fought more often. There were more fighters. And they adapted to fight the way the fighters fought then. That’s how you had to fight to be successful in those days. Combination punching was harder to do against the kinds of feint and counter punching style of that time. Joe Louis was a pioneer in many ways, but he still got himself knocked out by a 1930s guy who used the 1920s style of fighting. Even Joe Louis! So you can’t say his whole era was bad. The 1970s era was filmed in colour. It’s easier to understand. But if you study the subtle things, the guys in earlier times were just as good. Not necessarily better. Different.

you stop it you know thats bull even George moved way better then those dudes stop this it is no way you believe this

they wasnt impressive it's not a untrained eye it's easy to see those dudes footwork looked like was tiptoeing the defense wasnt as good they didnt use it much
and the head movement wasnt there

it is nobody as a fact anybody who had as good as defense as frazier or ali the 2 best defensive dudes in the 70s so stop this lying this is fact on vid none of those dudes had it

it is fact to the punch tech upgraded in 70s so your acting is bad and I dont know why your doing it

it's nothing wrong admitting the truth the era was trash compared nobody can really look at that era and say like these dudes had the skill level of a frazier George or ali as far as movement nobody at all believes it cause it didnt exist

and no those dudes wasnt hard to hit combos on cause of the tiptoeing footwork I said uptop George ron and any other big or middle name would have a easy time landing
