Lemieux is an awful PPV headlining opponent.

Which are worse in recent memory?

even if it does 200 300 or 400 its very good numbers for GGG for his fight ppv fight headlining

Remember cotto vs martinez did 300 and cotto has been a known ppv star

If you take away may/pac then those numbers are great

It will probably do slightly better than Barrera/Fana numbers.

without a decent co-main event, this will do miserable numbers, even if it's $19,99

That's the thing. It takes 2 to tango, and people often forget/neglect that part of the equation.

I guess it will depend on what HBO's expectations are and how well they can hype it.

If you're including the Canadian PPV market they could do decent numbers. Lemieux probably brings around 50k buys in Canada. Then you take your true fight fans and mexicans who have nothing better to do on a Saturday night and ya, you'd probably have a decent number for a final tally.

Honestly, would any hardcore fight fan miss this fight? Hell no. And it'd definitely be the type of action fight that I'd chose to spend the money on and see it in HD on my 50 inch, instead of on some low def choppy-ass-feed. Mayweather vs Bum....ya I get it he`s out boxing the guy, don`t need a big screen to appreciate that.

    200,000 is a reasonable expectation.

    400,000 would be surpassing expectations.

How many buys did Canelo get on his first PPV?

    I think 300,000 buys

400,000 would be amazing great for GGG for his first ppv fight

I think it would be around 200,000 though realistically even that is great
