What a set of dicks you look now! I've said from the offset that this was a 50/50 fight, I'll be honest I predicted Matthysse would take it late after a tremendous battlle, but to write off an unbeaten world champion like Danny Garcia was just stupid, some of the posts I've seen on here in the last few weeks have been ridiculously dismissing Garcia as nothing but cannon fodder for Lucas. In the middle rounds Lucas came on strong before the injury occured and it looked as though the fight might be swinging into Lucas' favour, but full credit and respect to Garcia for weathering the storm and sticking to a gameplan for a very tense 12 rounds. Garcia had a gameplan and stuck to it. Lucas was being sent out every round relying on his power, his corner were basically just telling him to go for the knockout every round, plus he gave away too many of the early rounds. In contrast Angel was giving Danny terrific instructions in between rounds and despite being a gobshite deserves a massive amount of credit for the strategy he put together. Both guys showed tremendous chins and heart, two warriors! Would love to see a rematch!!
