Why should anyone give Pacquiao the benefit of the doubt? Based on what? You don't give anyone the benefit of the doubt against Pacquiao no matter the circumstances right?

Pacquiao wasn't nothing when he beat MAB. He was a 2 division champion moving up. There are many fighters who have done this. It's not a plausible argument in a fantasy matchup because it has nothing to do with how good the fighters are, but simply how well known they were. That isn't relevant.

As for you, as the same questions in reverse. What do you want to hear from everyone else (who BTW, are not Pac Haters because they don't think he will beat a top 10 ATG....that is part of the problem anyways with some of you. Too much generalization)? That Pacquiao will win by KO? If they don't answer that way, do they fall into that category of Pac Hater in your eyes?

Of course Pacquiao is going to be picked to lose this match. Pep is a legend, and Pacquiao has proven he can beat some legends, but he has also shown he can lose to past their prime legends who BTW, are not as good as Pep.

I debated this but i lost to a poster who pointed out the spider sense,speed blitz, strength and agility that spidey brings. hell, the whole bat family would be screwed unless they had some serious motherbox type gear. Glad to see a fellow fan btw.:thumbsup

I always forget about Spidey Sense. But my guess is that it only works when he is being attacked, or about to be, not when he is about to go into a trap set by perhaps the most brilliant of all Superheroes. We all know what happens if Spidey gets ahold of Batman.....crunch. But the problem is getting to him. Remember, this is a guy who disappeared on Superman....

But yeah, Spidey has the significant advantage here in every category but brains. And Peter Parker ain't no pushover there either. But his brains aren't for strategy like Batman's are.

 

from the clip he posted, saddler looked like he would be an easier fight for pac than pep would be. pep at least was a good mover. saddler was coming forward at pep with no imposing jab, did'nt seem to cover up that much and looked slow on his feet. he'd be open to that straight left all night. he'd would probably do better in clinches, but he'd be smoked in exchanges with the faster, harder punching, more explosive pac.

Thus the styles issue. Sure Pacquiao can compete with some greats at these weights. I don't doubt that. Saddler vs Pacquiao is not the same fight as Pacquiao vs Pep. Pacquiao isn't a swarmer and goes straight ahead. Side stepping him and countering works on him even to this day, if you have the speed and timing to do it (Pep did, Saddler did not).
