isn't the contender much better with peppe and buddy instead of that peice of **** tommy gallagher. pepe really speaks a lot of sense. i liked his prediction on paul smith
gallagher reminds me of burt sugar, he does a good job of creating the appearance of an old school guy, but he has nothing of substance to say.
bert sugar is a much better person than gallagher. bert speaks a lot of sense and also has a funny way speaking the truth
Tomy Gallagher thought hewas on Rocky, complete nob. Pepe is great to watch and talks some amazing sense, I can not see how a guy can lose withhim in his corner while Mcgirt is a downright legend. They have given the programme some real credibility and made it worth watching. If only thoducers would give us more on those two and less shots of gloves and sun rises and my own pet hate the 10 mins showing the fighters with thier family.

I agree the series is much better with some proper trainers . I also dislike the whole family stuff , if they won't to show a nice side to something why not just leave it at Sam Soliman trying to help guys out . Soliman has really shown himself to be a great guy during this series . I hate the way they get Sergio mora to sit beside Ray Leonard as if he's some type of expert himself . Half of the guys they're watching would beat Mora .
it is cheesy, but they do it to try and draw fans who are more interested in the human elements of the show rather than the boxing itself. i'm all for anything that draws more fans to boxing. hopefully, but not likely, boxing will generate enough interest to return to network tv and discard ppv all together.
did you see the first episode where sergio spars some guy and then gives him advice "just move your head, you'll go a long way" its like he has been there and came backatsch
Pepe and Buddy are actually good coaches. It is much better with them. I think The Contender need to see if they can get a 90 minute slot. Each episode could be amazing - training, full fight, some hollywood **** etc Before it was too hollywood and now I feel its a little too rushed though better.
exactly, its like they try to fit everything in the little time they have. i wouldn't mind seeing alittle bit more of their training.
Gallagher was just a clown. Pleased that prat ***** Stallone has been ditched as well. However, the number of actual fights this series has been halved, which I think is a mistake. Soliman,Smith,Bika and Codrington are all good fighters, the rest are rather poor
Which guys of the 10 would beat Mora ? Codrington, Soliman and Bika for sure. The rest, maybe. I think the ones that would beat Mora is because they are naturally heavier. Most of them are SMW while Mora is a natural LMW.
