That's a good post. You might have something there, but I think that Lemieux is far too big, young and hard hitting and that Cotto has been through too many wars. No doubt he has more skills but the odds are stacked against Cotto big time.

 

I like Cotto, he was one of my favorit fighters to warch back in the 140-147. He isn't a mw and David would rip his head off if they were to fight.

Cotto can't hang with Charlo bros, Andrade or Trout and he sure wouldn't last with bigger mw like Murray, DL, Monroe jr., Stevens,..

I would give him chance against Saunders though.

 

Cotto doesn't have the chin to survive Lemiuex even if he could outbox him (doubt it). Lemiuex KO's him in the 3Rd round easy fight for Lemieux. Thats a fact cotto has never seen the power of a true middleweight.

 

Cotto went life and death with canelo. Lemiuex is a real middleweight with power something that he has never seen. He is not feather fisted like Canela.

Cotto aint going anywhere near Lemeiux. Ever.

 

Cotto is looking for a cash-out fight to end the year/his career and he does not want to go out on a stretcher vs Lemieux. My guess is he will try again to make the Marquez fight again.

 

why doesn´t Cotto insist on the Kirkland fight? has Kirkland announced retirement?

 

LOL at people saying Cotto beats Lemieux. Cotto isn't a Middleweight and he is old and inactive. Cotto likely gets knocked out.

 

What would be the point of that fight? Glass Jawed Kirkland is a pushover. Meaningless fight.
