It's all too convenient for Wilder.
This is all a charade mounted up by the Americans to allow Wilder to back out from this situation they got him into (fight in Russia with a very strong local boxer) with his reputation intact.
All other excuses they could use to back out would generate suspects with the media and undermine Wilder's credibility. Think Pacquiao torn shoulder.

The chemical trace is probably just too negligible a quantity to infer doping without shadows of a doubt. Previous tests did not find anything, maybe because the trace was so thin that statistically gets noticed 1 time out of many tests.

All else, who knows? People at the doping agency may have planted it. Are they above corruption? Who can vouch for their integrity? Who controls the controllers?

I doubt that anybody "planted" anything. It was known that Povetkin had used the stuff prior to the ban. The manufacturers stated it takes many months to work its way out. And the amount is so miniscule that not only is it within the acceptable VADA limit but I am surprised they picked it up at all.
